After reading the book, I have never taken my little house for granted. Having our home and garden that is a sanctuary for my husband, myself and our two cats seem even more precious.
Omg what a coincidence, I just borrowed the book from the library the other day! Didn't know there was gonna be a movie. With Gillian Anderson, no less!
I read this book when it was first published, it'll take you through a heap of emotions, but you will enjoy it. Make sure you read The Wild Silence, and Landlines too! ☺
I live in Cornwall and bought this book when it came out. It is an excellent story. It never occurred to me that they would make a film of it, but looking at the trailer it seems to work. And Gillian Anderson? I would never have thought of her for the role but, again, she seems to fit the part. Can't wait to see the movie, the Cornish scenery will be enough to promote the film.
I started reading it but gave up after a while. It came across as two middle class, affluent people who were astonished then their risky investments didn't actually work out well.
I loved the books (if you've not read them yet do it) and the trailer looks like they've done a good job turning this amazing real life story into a movie.
When Disney inevitably does a Hunchback remake (I know it got stalled, but never say never), Jason Isaacs NEEDS to play Frollo. There is not a better choice on this earth.
I've had reservations about Jason in the past but I have a strong feeling about this one. I suspect I might fall in love with him a bit this time around. It could be that that's just how much I trust Gillian but I also think this role is in his bones. Can't wait.
Anything Gillian does I love. However, I read the book and found it a bit fake and contrived. Too many things didn’t add up though it was beautifully written. I was surprised when I met others who felt the same way and like me couldn’t finish it because of that.
@chiarabay9364 I mean this in a good way, not a snarky way, LOL, I am interested in your opinion on how things didn't add up. A family member had said something similar and I would very much like your take on it. Thank you, J.
This looks terribly cheesy in delivery, but likely to be improved by the solid actors involved. I can't help but think this is the future of many or most in the U.S. and Europe as we move through this century - get a tent, try to stay solvent as institutions fail (you), and enjoy the remaining natural world! If you try out this method of survival and walking about in the U.S. be careful not to be shot.
Absolutely! I'm not sure you know very much about gun violence, given what you've written (I've walked through both places, and know people give a knee-jerk "south side of Chicago" without actually knowing anything about the city's neighborhoods, or the time of day incidents happen, as someone who has lived on the west side) but I'm mostly just pointing out things like stand your ground and gun culture that prevents people from safely walking around in the US, and certainly from camping where you like. I'm not trying to be sensationalist, watching this just made me think of how unlikely it would be to be able to do this, depending on place. It would literally be dangerous in the US. And I say this as someone who, purely on the luck of how I look, moves very freely and safely in the world. It's like the difference between Finland and the deep south (where I've also lived). My neighbor's dog ran into someone else's yard in Alabama, and as he went to get him, after dark, someone came out to see what was going on, with a gun. My neighbor expected this, and wasn't afraid or surprised (he's a gun owner and user), but it's just how it is in some places. That's all I'm saying. Everyone can enjoy the movie!
@@Catherine-2008 Oh please, don't be so woke. Aw, crap....
I'm gonna watch this and cry right?
Fine. Ill follow Gillian Anderson wherever.❤
SOOOO very happy to see Gillian Anderson on screen again! More talented and beautiful than ever!
Incredible books. Incredible spirit. So pleased to see Gillian Anderson in this role.

Looks like a beautiful film, 2 super actors..... even the trailer is emotional.
Awesome! 2 great actors.
I read this book and found it deeply moving and inspiring. Can't wait to see the movie!
The next two books are very good too
Looking forward to seeing this movie, Gillian Anderson is a wonderful character actress ❤❤❤
I have read all 3 of her books regarding their journey. This is the most unbelievable story I have ever read.
looks super gay

@ComeinCiderbox please enlighten us as to what exactly you think that is.
What part of two people going for a walk did you find "unbelievable"?
Haven’t seen Jason Isaacs in a while!
Excellent movie. Really focuses on their relationship with strong actors. We saw it last month in New Zealand.
I have read all 3 books & can not recommend them enough. I can’t wait to see this❤

I've read all three books, and this definitely is a story that is worth bringing to the screen!
Ah, I see Trent Crimm is still independent.
Oh my goodness....this looks incredible! Can't wait to see it...
would rather have my cock slammed in a car door than watch this
I loved these books. What amazing people.
I'd love to find unconditional love.
Overall looks pretty well put together and should be a good movie.
It reminds me of The Way.
I am already sobbing. 😭🥰
This looks like a good tear jerker.
prefer a cock jerker my self , much the preferred the one called Up the brown highway sub title 'sluts taking it in the arse'
❤ beautiful in every way!
This book is awesome. I really hope the movie does it justice 🤞🏻
Just finished the book! It’s amazing!
excellent timing. (the movie looks amazing!)
First time in history of cinema that a hawk's call actually is paired with the image of a hawk and not a bald eagle, lol.
This looks wonderful.
I'm almost in tears and it's only the trailer.
This looks like a great movie! Look forward to it coming out!!
What a great actresss

Read the book and looking forward to the film
THE X-FILES forever
Anderson has gone on to show herself to be an actor with great range, in a series of impressive projects. Duchovny, not so much.
Isn't Gillian brilliant, regional British accents now. I can't wait to see this.

Poor and homeless, is the new, middle class.

Again a trailer that spoils everything. I will cry in the beginning, I will cry in the middle, I will cry at the end. Great, now I know!

Careful not to be shot? Unless you’re planning to walk through Baltimore or the south side or Chicago after dark, you’ll be fine. Seriously. 😂

2 hours of constant suffering, no thank you😅
The truth is out there
Why would you carry your water like that?!
This looks moving, inspiring, beautiful....... and boring.
All the more poignant because its true .......
So they're homeless. Ok.
They had a huge estate and property taken from them through a dishonest friend. They lost a lot. This was their was of recovering emotionally.
Looks so good and not woke!
Going for a long walk to heal - wokest thing anybody ever did.
