@@ZanyPro thanks but I'm honestly thinking about removing it LOL. It's a realistic display of how I take a look at new plugins, but I'll be making it a priority so there are a lot more audio samples in the next one. In retrospect, this one should have had at least three tracks and shown off a compressor plus the tape machine.
Im not trying to ruin Acustca's marketing of this because it sound good from a Mixing Point of view, Im definately buying it, the fact that you get a Compex analog VCA comp in here and the rare EMT PMW comp is worth the purchase alone but from a mastering point of view EBONY is better its an EMT Rack as well, as long as you turn off the Reverb Ebony seems to sound better on mastering At least in my studio ITB on my Alesis M1 MK2 Monitors and my AT40 and 701 headphones and when I shot them out Analog going through my Mackie 32.8 Bus and Warm Audio G Comp going back into my UAD Volt in Vintage mode So from a Mastering standpoing Ebony is Better if your just gettin this for Mastering and the Ebony Comp on drums and Bass is Spot it
I've heard Ebony is cool but I haven't tried it yet. It's on the list though! And yeah...listening on nice nearfield monitors to these Acustica plugins is the biggest revelation! There are a lot of great plugin makers out there but...Acustica are essentially what convolution reverb is to algorithmic reverb.
@@RealHomeRecording Exactly and alot of the regular Digital Plugins are starting to cost so much I think Kiive Audio is the only Regular Plugins that even come close to Acustica Strips and Nebula Libraries I mainly mix with nebula libraries and pre master and masteer with acutsica audio and I use slate digital VMR for Vocals going in
@@RealHomeRecording Ebony is definately avaiable for purchase might not be on sale but with the Reverb turned off to me it sounds more Rounded, Gluey, and has more of a Late 80s Color instead of 60-70s color on the this one I just like Ebony more...Im working on a Modern Pop/Funk Pop/ Tech Album With my analog gear, Ebony just has a very Pro Sound to it even just ITB to me
It’s the Alive mode… that’s why i’ll probably buy this one. Increased stereo depth.
Nice review Adam

@@RealHomeRecording You could keep this one and just make another one 😎
@@ZanyPro 😀That's the plan now.
I think you chose the ZL (zero latency) version. That might be why it was bugging on you? ZL are more intensive on CPU
@@Venxi2014 yep...that ma have been the issue!
@@RealHomeRecordingIt definitely is the issue. I never use the ZL version.
"Marvin Gaye,. Who is that white guy?" Hilarious!!!!!
I have the ART limiter which is a pwm compressor but it is not clean in my opinion
@@PharaohLawLess1 interesting! Well, at least it's relatively cheap!
I'm really interested in that PWM compressor more than anything.
@@RealHomeRecording Yep it’s heap but all right. You gotta use it lightly
