Check part 2! We have done an entire video dedicated to Hazel plus a redo of this to make it less confusing. th-cam.com/video/W-7I0MKDCVU/w-d-xo.html Thanks for all the feedback its super helpful!
Thanks for doing that!
I have blue-green eyes so my best shadow are red-oranges. I love peach at the lightest through the copper colors.
FINALLY colors for grey-blue eyes! People try to put me in peaches, and it just doesn’t work for a dusty, low chroma girl or guy!!! And, yes! Personally, I like to play up the grey and slight dusty teal for my really weird blue! Thank you!
Let those grey-blue eyes shine!
Mine are blue with some grey too
Watch for your hazel video in the next week!
I had to learn to love my eyes. I’ve got heterochroma. One eye is vibrant green, the other is brown.
I have Heterochromia too. I wish there was a suggestion for us.
I had a teacher with one green eye and one gray eye.
Such great content!! Thank you for your teaching Sarah and Lucinda!
I also have green-blue-grey eyes and I find that when I remove my eye makeup and the skin around the eye is all red and pink from the rubbing, my eyes just shine and stand out like nothing! I have to find an eyeshadow or eyeliner to mimic this.
Also silver eyeliner/trace eye with silver eyeshadow, makes them really grey and I get almost as many compliments as when I wear lilacs/violets or mauves. I've never heard or read about silver being a good colour for us so that's a tip.
My eyes do the same thing… they’re incredible with some red/ pink around it
I’ve noticed that after a good sappy movie when I’ve cried my blue-green eyes look great, but I don’t want to walk around crying. Can someone let us know if this is common with every eye color. I’m allergic to carmine so that takes out the vast majority of pinks and reds in makeup. I’ve found some that are vegan but I feel a bit overpowered in them.
Brown eyes are not all the same. Some are "black", some are a warm chocolate brown ("orange" brown); others have more yellow, like a tiger eye stone...I have chocolate eyes. Violet, blues and aqua look good. My mother had lighter, "tiger eye" brown eyes. My colors would not have worked for her.
Exactly. I have very, very dark brown eyes. There are no visible flecks of anything. I am also very fair complected and I have a light hair color. I seem to only be able to pull off a hint of the other colors like putting a light green in the center lower lid with the rest in browns. My coloring yells cool but my eyes are a big nope to that.
I cannot keep up but love that there are so many videos to watch and learn from! Thanks ladies you're the best!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You guys will end up with hundreds of thousands of followers. I'm sure.❤
I have sectoral Heterochromia. Each eye has two different colors. The left is yin yang shape with rust brown & teal. The right eye is green with a 1/4 rust brown.
Amazing! Must be so beautiful
I watched until the end waiting for hazel eyes, what happened?
Me, too! ??? Hazel eyes can shift depending on eye makeup colors. Would have been nice to have included that. Also, it would be helpful to show examples of actual eyes with eye make up on them. Color wheels just make me dizzy!
That's what I just did... Hmmm... I guess my eyes are closest to brown, but they really are not brown.
IKR?!! My hazel eyes are primarily a dull green (think olive-teal) with gold and rust areas, and are rimmed/outlined in blue. I was disappointed there were no examples of eyes made up with complementary colors.
Never fear, Hazel is so complex we have planned a show for “cool” hazel and “warm” hazel plus amber. It’s being edited now.
@@ColorClassInc woah that's great
Thanks for starting with green!
That is interesting and it makes sense, thank you!!!!
You girls rock!!! ❤
Best eyeshadow color tips I’ve ever seen!!
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you !
This is great thanks ladies! I just got back from my colour analysis, HoC, I'm a summer tending to dark deep summer... after thinking I'm an autumn for 9 months 🤣 I'm so excited to delve into a cool palette and the jewel tones in the darker end of the summer spectrum. and with super dark brown eyes I need this makeup inspo! Thanks again🥰
You are so welcome! Thank you for being here with us!
Fantastic Videos!
I have bluish, grayish eyes and the best way for me to make my eyes pop the bluest is to wear gold or yellow eyeshadow. It really takes them in a clear blue direction!
Thank you! This was so clear and I now know what to do with my dark hazel eyes!
I'm so glad!
Loved this. Have green eyes but cannot wear anything orangey. Looking forward to more videos!
Orange is a hard color to wear. Thank you!
I have graish/blue eyes and this chart is so spot on. I bought a very green warm ND Yucca pallet and it just clashes so much with my skin tone and I feel so lost in it. However the ND Glam palette, completely different story because it's mostly smoke grays and soft browns, love it!
Thanks for sharing!
Sara, I love your natural hair color.
Very interesting! Perhaps using a pointer would help.
I can watch it over and over and I still won't understand. Since I let my gray hair come in I rarely wear make up. Skin tint, light coat of mascara, and light lipstick.
I have eyes that change green and grey. Cool video
Hi. Thank you.
This is excellent, thank you. Subscribed.
Welcome aboard!
Could you do an analysis for Hazel eyes?
I was just gonna say lol. We got left out.
Try the colour at 8 o' clock on green eye chart.
They mention hazel eyes at 4:04. It’s the green circle between 3-6 o’clock, the warmer shades.
The channel replied to another comment they are currently editing a separate video for hazel eyes because of how complex they are
We did an entire video on hazel because there are so many different varieties plus we redid this video to make it a little less confusing th-cam.com/video/W-7I0MKDCVU/w-d-xo.html
All those blue eyes-the VAST majority of us have varying shades of brown.
We have a volume two coming with deep red brown, amber and two hazels. Should be this week.
Best video!
Glad you think so!
Yay color theory!
Haha!
I have gray eyes. They are aqua gray and striped with gold. All true (scientifically) gray eyes contain some gold. I have not found a color that doesn't seem to match my eyes for some reason. I do look good in gray shadow, but browns brings out the blue, and yellow looks great against them. I often wear shadows that are mildly pink/purple which I think is more for my skin tone, but always looks great with my eyes.
...and then there's my late aunt Violeta. She had gray eyes that reflected anything violet: she had "violet eyes", because she always wore purple stuff: a scarf, a blouse, earrings, eyeshadow...
How interesting that her name matched her hair!
Yes, I wondered about that myself. Perhaps her eyes did that from birth. Her mother, my great-aunt had plain gray eyes. She must have noticed the difference.
I love your glasses, Lucinda! Can I ask where you got them? I have blue/ gray eyes with a ring around the pupil. I believe that I am a summer. Cool colors definitely look best on me! I have dark ash blonde hair.
You may ask, but I’m not sure you will like the answer. After years of losing expensive frames almost instantly, I started using readers. These come three to a pack and they are from Max Studio. www.ebay.com/itm/134971083024?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nhSKjgqFRWK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Dk330TlbQN2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
🤣 Thank you!
Would love eyeshadow palettes suggestions for grey eyes 😊
Will do!
My daughter has true grey eyes what would her best colors be?
@@lynnewright31 We’ve gotten so much interest that we are doing in depth color shows. Gray will be included. 🌝
I’m a green eye winter and purple shades is what I had even on wedding day.
Beautiful I bet you looked amazing!
Any chance that you could demonstrate how to use some of the CMB individual eyeshadows and palettes on each color of eye?
We are no longer with Color Me Beautiful, the best way to sample the Color Me Beautiful eye shadows would be to seek out a local consultant.
Oh, I had no idea! Thanks so much for bringing me up to date 🙂
Welcome to our Color Class, though. ❤️
I have yellow eyes with amber flecks. I have no idea what color eyeshadow would make my eyes pop. Please help.
What about hazel?
Hazels and Amber are next up!
Eyes❤ pinks eyeshadow and white in summerrime.
My eyes are brown with gold and green flecks and will appear to be a lighter brown in daylight and a darker brown when it is dark.
I have blue eyes that are only versy slightly greeny-grey. Orange looks absolutely dire on me in ANY context, and doesn't seem to light up my eyes at all either. I've given up on trying to make it work because it 'should'. I can get away with a pale, muted yellowish apricot in the crease in summer time, if applied lightly, but that's it as far a touching yellow/gold/orange. Many browns, pinks, mauves, and reds have the same effect, they just look like puffiness and irritation/inflammation, and don't blend into my skin just sit on top looking patchy and out of place. Cooler tone are better, but can also make my eyes and skin look flat and grey with a lot of shadows, if they're too cool. The best color I've found for me is a muted, neutral plum that's not too blue (eg Urban Decay Rockstar). That makes my eyes zing!
Lucinda here- Rockstar is one of my “go to” shades!
I still use a Naked palette i bought only last year .
I still have mine too!
My blue/gold look best in purples or cool browns
We have grey eyes so the colors recommended are they brown ? Could u explain what each of the colors in that wheel are.
Each color is designed to be flattering. Brown is nice if you want those gray eyes to shift blue- brown has orange pigment in it thus a compliment to blue. Not suggesting orange though- ever. Will make you look like you have allergies.
I want to ask for a tip. My eyes are light blue ( greyish tone) and in the middle I got a yellow ring ( more like sun rays). Is there any different recommendation than for regular blue eyes?
My eyes are similar: grayish blue outer ring, lighter shade of grayish blue in the middle and very light blue with yellow streaks close to the pupils. I'm not a specialist but I consider my eyes as blue-green because of the yellow specks against the blue and I look the best in eyeshadow colours for blue-green eyes. I think it depends which aspect of your eye colour you want to elevate considering at the same time your seasonal type of beauty. I'm a soft summer leaning soft autumn (those yellow specks) so I look good only in very muted colours, everything else makes me look theatrical and washed out.
@@odala8245 Are you of Irish descent by any chance? That dark eye ring with yellow center is very common.
Same with me... Bluish gray and yellow ring
We are editing a video where we will feature blue-hazel eyes. Stay tuned.
The violet shadows I live with my brown eyes have always caused eyelid irritation where the skin sloughs off and is itchy, then sore. Do you have a brand recommendation that might work in a violet/purple?
Let me research this. It sounds as if you react to some sort of red pigment. Which brands have you used? Off the top of my head, a good eye shadow primer might help.
@@ColorClassInc ohh. Good call. I’ll try primer! Thank you.
Hello, nice, you said, there are some people with green eyes with gold, it's not so often. Thank you for colours hour one to three. I love these colours. Purple and violet are pretty, but a man needs something else sometimes. ☺️ Sorry for my English
You’re welcome!
I am blue-eyed and like to use a bit of orange around my eyes. It really makes my eyes pop
That’s color theory in action - your skin tone must be just right to be able to pull off that trick.
I think you both are very attractive and something to think about.
I’ve got central heterochromia eyes, brown in the center. And almost an Amber/yellow ish green on the outer color. How would I enhance that?
Could you send a photo? I will chart you. ColorClassInc@gmail.com
i loved the green eyeshadow in green eyes.. has anyone found that color i can NOT find it any suggestions as to call that shade of green??
Please do one for hazel eyes
We did an entire video for hazel eyes and redid this so its less confusing! th-cam.com/video/W-7I0MKDCVU/w-d-xo.html
I have bright green eyes, very similar to my cat! I do wear softish violet coloured eye shadow, but not too pink toned (as was once advised in a store) as that tends to just make my eyes look sore and red (people kept asking me if I had an eye infection, so not a good look.
That can happen if you aren’t very careful to buy pinks that have a little brown in them or strait up orchid- I would love to see how orchid lights up your eyes.
I have hazel-ish green eyes and blue eyeshadow makes the green pop! Colour theory wise this doesn't make sense to me, but it works.
That’s an interesting one- we are about to do a show on green hazel and blue hazel. One possibility is hazel usually has golden orange flecks - so the blue could be pulling contrast from those amber flecks.
@@ColorClassInc well, I do have some central heterochromia where there's a rust coloured ring around my pupil... so maybe the green wedged between blue eyeshadow and the rusty inner circle stands out more?
This was interesting. It’s sad the older woman can’t use anything in her crease anymore. I am 70 and still enjoy a Smokey eye with my dark brown eyes. I try to match my eye shadow with clothing choices (including my earrings) and I find it makes my eyes and skin color pop. It gives a polished look. I’m very proud to be fair skinned. I have done a good bit of experimenting because it is fun. Thank you for this quasi scientific analysis.
7 minutes on green, 7 minutes on blue & only 2 minutes on brown?!
Good news! We have a Volume 2 planned with more info on brown eyes, amber eyes, blue hazel and green brown hazel. Stay tuned, I think you will enjoy it.
I used to be frustrated that advice on eyeshadow/liner colour for brown eyes was limited. But, mine are nearly black, and because I have a very cool skin tone and grey hair, I discovered that practically the only two colours that work for me are lilac,(crease) and pale bluey silver (on the lower lid to nose. I've yet to find any colour that looks really good on me, and it's because coloured eyes have so much more of a colour range that can seem to alter and enhance blue, green, aqua, grey, hazel, or violet eyes. I'm resigned to it.
I have dark brown eyes but very pale skin (naturally) with dirty blonde hair (I have highlights at the moment) I feel like skin tone can have an impact on what eye colours suit people too. I don't feel that I can wear quite a few things because I'm pale. They would look better on darker toned skins. Do you have any advice please?
Oh absolutely. And skin tone affects color in three ways, how light or deep it is, how warm or cool and how much. contrast their is between skin and hair.
Whats good for a terracotta brown eyes?
The amber chart- for sure.
I have dark blue eyes with gold around the pupil so I lean to neutrals though I find I can experiment with many colors but green eyeshadow is not for me.
The Nakeds was a line of cosmetic colors created byUltima II around 1994.
Totally remember that line. My sis and I bought quite a lot of the items. We were just starting out in our 20’s getting into makeup.
The Nakeds Palette we are referring to is from Urban Decay. I think they are up to Nakeds version 3. www.sephora.com/product/naked3-P384099
I have grey eyes and have to use bolder color to make them stand out.. my skin tone is light but have dark circles and eyelids.. I need medium pinks to liven me up, sometimes even my blush or a pinkish gold shimmer.. Most of the lighter shades, especially neutrals dont even show up on me.. If I use neutrals, I use a cobolt blue liner. I use color correctors to cover the darkness.. especially now that Im older.
I’ve always been told to use burgundy on my green eyes.
Try plum instead- sometimes burgundy can make your eyes look irritated.
I've always been told that I have brown eyes. They do look brown in pictures most of the time. What I see up close is not brown. I have a caramel brown burst around my pupil and then it's a shade of green with light yellow/gold mixed in and a thick, deep gray ring around the iris.
Did you see part 2? We dive into the different hazel eyes th-cam.com/video/W-7I0MKDCVU/w-d-xo.html I think you're color just might be here 😉
@@ColorClassInc I did, thank you so much.
I like your channel , but am confused about mention times or talking about the time of day to wear certain eye shadows. Thank you
👍💝💜
If the color wheel was a clock … the numbers on the ‘ clock’ correspond to the colors they refer to .
This is only my opinion here but as a 67 year old women I try to keep my eye makeup light and soft all day and night long. Sara has been known to deepen her eye color for evening. One general rule of thumb - if you are wearing intense color on your lips lighten up on your eyes and visa versa.
Thank you for saying eye color stand out instead of eye color pop.
Actually violet is opposite yellow on the wheel and red is opposite green. Green is in a triad with violet so it looks good but not complimentary
The reason violet draws out green eyes is because it is red -based. When we look at eyeshadows, we can't look at primary, secondary or even tertiary colors. we develop these on the pigment components rather than solid colors.
Do you do virtual color analysis for people?
We do.
@@ColorClassIncI can’t seem to find your website.
This clock chart is confusing me. Idk which one is 12 o’clock. You should have the actual color be in the middle rather than the white lines. So, idk which one is 12 o’clock the dark brown? Or the light shade? Confused as well.
We are revising the charts and will post on facebook.com/colorclassinc
Green and blue eyes are the easiest; but gray and brown are tertiary colors...basically gray; brown is just a very warm gray...determining the contrasting color depends on what is the dominant hue in your gray...and that is tricky.
I say it means you can wear any color you want.
My blue eyes are not the normal blue or blue gray. I have very light blue eyes with a darker blue ring on the outside, with a small fleck of gold around my pupil. I wear alot of browns. I would like to use different colors.
Let me evaluate high contrast eyes. We are already planning a show for optimum eye shadow colors for unusual iris types. Stay tuned and we will include your type.
I took a close up picture of my eye and looked at the picture, there is no gold flecks around my pupil. Why it looked like there was to my eye looking I don't know. So they are very light blue, I have heard all my life that they are beautiful, stunning eyes. They just look like eyes to me.
Clothing choices make a significant differences in shadows.
Our recommendations are based on models wearing colors within their seasonal palettes.
I didn’t hear anything about hazel eyes
We did an entire video on Hazel eyes (since there are so many variations) and redid this so it was less confusing th-cam.com/video/W-7I0MKDCVU/w-d-xo.html hope you like it!
Hello Sarah, I sent you an email asking about the cardigans you and your mother bought from Amazon, but have not heard back from you. Your mother had suggested I email for the information, Kind Regards
Suzy.x
Just emailed you back! Thanks for reaching out again!
@@ColorClassInc Thankyou, all the cardigans are lovely xxxx
Why did you leave out hazel? If youre going to do this please be thorough. Thank you.
Hazel is coming up this week!!
There nothing for women with black eye color?
Technically, according to opticians there is no black eye color, it’s either ver dark brown or very large pupils- so you can use the darker brown chart.
Nice info, but these eye colors are over-simplified. For example, “Brown” has dozens of depths of shade and undertones so that what makes one “brown” pop will be different from the next variant of brown.
So glad you mentioned that. We have a Part 2 to drop that includes amber (warm brown), warm hazel and blue hazel.
I have green eyes. Only 3% of the population have green eyes. In order to create a green eyed baby, both parents must have a green recessive gene. If you have green eyes, your dominant and recessive genes are both green. When I married my children’s father, he also had green eyes. We could only produce green eyed children, which we did.
Just a little genetics to explain the rarity.
Thank you. Surprisingly I read that the rarest combination is red hair and blue eyes- my son’s coloring.
If you could have pointed to color talked about would have helped.
We actually did a volume two of this video, added some shades and numbered the colors, take a look.
As a fair skinned person, I never buy the lighter shades of eyeshadow. They don’t show up on me.
#Robertwelsh
I have to admit, this is confusing. The compliment of green is red. The compliment of blue is orange.
Oh thank you for letting us know we need to do a better job explaining!
I have green eyes. A cool burgundy works well for me (as do the suggestions in this video).
Both "browny" based, go for a peachy brown?
@@naturalPaths I have pale green eyes, and burgundies make my eyes neon green.
The reason the compliment effective happens with plum and green eyes is because plum is red pigment based.
My goodness, so confusing. Don't try to explain a lot.
We added numbers to help with the confusion - check part 2! th-cam.com/video/W-7I0MKDCVU/w-d-xo.html
Don’t wear it! It’s very bad for your eyes.
