    Great video.
    Using 3700x since Jan 2020.
Just upgraded my GPU from RTX 2060 to RTX 4070 in March 2024.
Surely getting more than 75fps on my (75Hz) 1080p Ultra wide monitor in most games that I have played so far.
Titles like metro Exodus (with RT) & A plague tale Requiem easily doing 85-100fps (max settings)
But surely, there are cases of stuttering and frame drops here & there.
May be, an upgrade to R7 5700x3d in future might change that.
Mu Target is just 75-90fps on my 1080p ultrawide monitor where i mostly play single player games with good graphics.

I just bought a 5700x3d, is really a good cpu for the money

      @@extremegraphicstech yes.
It is indeed & pricing wise makes more sense than 5800x3d
It's just that, my current setup is enough for the games I want to play, especially after my upgrade to RTX 4070.
So not giving into the thought of upgrading the CPU.
But if the future games (especially the single player AA & AAA titles) come un-optimised like what we have been seeing recently, then I might go for the upgrade.

@@AniketMohite1988 hey guy , thanks for the explanation , i wanna ask you somthing real quick , I have an ryzen 7 3700x , MSI X570 wifi motherboard and 750 watt gold corsair psu and an MSI twin ventus OC rtx 2060 super 8GB Version, nowdays obviously it cant run many industry leading titles at max settings and lemme mention ( on native resolution without dlss, with dlss max settings are still somewhat possilbe , somewhat) now the gpu usage is alwasys at 99-98% and cpu's at max 38-40 but normally 30, so does this mean that the cpu will be good for the next years to come and now the main Que- what's the highest end gpu that can be replaced with it and also other than that secondly the most reasonable one.
      Thnk uuu.

      @@ManasviSharma-wh1nc Hi Manas,
I first upgraded my GPU to RTX 4070 & then I upgraded my CPU as well to 5700X3D
GPU wise, I would suggest RTX 4070 super, to the max for Nvidia, as R7 3700X is good but then again 12GB VRAM based GPU is something I would ask you to avoid.
AMD GPUs are good value as well, if you are not requiring Ray tracing.
Depends on what you are playing.
I am not saying 3700x is not powerful enough, but the smoothness with which 5700x3d works in games, it's just amazing.

    • @AniketMohite1988
      @AniketMohite1988 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@ManasviSharma-wh1nc also I would like to mention, one or the other component will always bottleneck.
So don't worry about it as long as your games work.
3700X with RTX 4070 was not bad at all, which I judged wrongly while playing an un-optimised game like SW Jedi Survivor & then upgraded CPU to 5700x3d.
      Ofcourse, happy with the upgrade.
But logically, you will have to upgrade the GPU first.
RTX 4070 super or AMD 7800/7900GRE
For 1080p you need as powerful CPU. 1440p & above you need more powerful GPU

I have a 3700x and rtx 3080 along with 32gb of ram (b550) I can play God of War Ragnarok at ultra settings with over 100 fps there are very rare scenarios where my fps are under 90 so I think it holds up very good😊

I am an AMD Ryzen fan. I build machines that I hand down to my wife, son, and grandkids every time I upgrade. Here is what I have in my house:
    - 1080p 60-hz ASRock AB350, Ryzen 2700x, Vega56 8GB, 16GB 3200 CL16 RAM (Starting to struggle. Will sell soon)
    - 1080p 60hz - MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X470, Ryzen 3700x, Radeon 5700xt 8GB, 16GB 3600mhz CL18 RAM (Still running games strong)
    - 1440p 144hz - Gigabyte Auros AX B650, Ryzen 7600 NON X, Nvidia 2080 Super FE 8GB, 32GB 6000 CL36 RAM (Rocking 80+ FPS - better than I expected)
    - 1440p 165hz - MSI Tomahawk B650, Ryzen 7600x, Nvidia 3080 ti 12GB, 32 GB 6000 CL30 RAM (Rocking 2k high FPS with ease. GPU gets very hot)
    - 4k 144hz - Asus ROG B650E-F, Ryzen 7800x3D, Nvidia 4080 Super FE 16GB, 32 GB 6000 CL30 RAM (Dont need to say much. It runs crazy cool, 4k high fps. just need DLSS if Raytracing)
    I recently sold a rig with: Asus TUF x570, Ryzen 5900x, Radeon 6750xt 12GB, 32GB 3600 CL18 RAM. Sold for $1000us. That 6750xt was a great card. Better than the new 7600's.
I appreciate what you are doing comparing how the older stuff is keeping up in 2024. Keep rockin.

I have Ryzen 3500 paired with RTX 2060 I played Starfield, Jedi Survivor, Alan Wake 2, Silent Hill 2 Remake, currently playing until dawn too holding up well if the games are well optimised the combination can run anything smoothly.

Don't forget starfield is one of the best sample of games that are not optimized which even causes problem with latest gen hardware. Its not just about CPU and GPU its more on Game optimization (dev's) another example is when cyberpunk first came out its badly optimize. You can truly say if the older gen cpu/gpu if they are truly struggling by testing it with optimized CPU/GPU bound games. And there will be always be a bottleneck within the system..
My current 3700x (manually tuned) w/ RAM (fully manual tuned) runs better than a stock r5 5600.
Also 4060ti is the limit for this GPU in 1080p there will be 1-3% games out there (very rare like rust) that will give you same exact FPS when using this GPU in both 1080p and 1440p however this is with stock configuration. If tested w/ manually tuned system it will now gave you more FPS in 1080p than 1440p.
RAM is really helpful specially if you manually tuned everything (yeah near every setting in bios around 95%+ of the setting) it helps boost CPU performance in CPU bound games and lessen GPU bottleneck.
Also there will be no noticeable or no increase at all if GPU is the bottleneck or there is no GPU bottleneck or the game is GPU bound w/ the exemption of game being GPU bound and you are CPU is bottlenecks the GPU then you will get a bit more frame w/ the help of the RAM and there will be no noticeable gain if this RAM is running in XMP obviously you want samsung B-die RAM and a dual rank dual channel set up (4 stick of single rank or the best is 2 stick of dual rank ram for better OC)

sadly, it goes unexplained as how ray tracing affects CPU. Does it have to feed more data to GPU which does actual tracing? does your GPU not have the relevant drivers and has to rely on CPU?

@@Classixfv1 depends on what gpu your pairing it with. It's a 8 core cpu, so if it's just gaming you could get away with a 5600x on a 6 core cpu and have a similar experiance. I would only get 8 cores if you were getting a 5800x3d or 7800x3d for example. I've got a 3600 and paired it with a rx 6800 at 1440p and for most games it's fine, but there is always room for a better cpu etc, it just depends where you are satisfied and what your budget is. Entry level is 3600 these days for gaming.
