In the movie, RHPS, my favorite character was Frank. Love Tim Curry and all that-But I absolutely adore and admire Richard O'Brien. The fact that he not only basically wrote the whole movie on his own (I'm sure he had some help somewhere in there) but also all of the songs!?! Absolutely brilliant. And he seems like such an interesting guy, nice guy too. Positively nothing but love and respect for this man.
Hey I met Richard O'Brien once in Edinburgh during the festival in the mid 90s. He had a show called Mephistopheles Smith. Fckin amazing show. He was in a bookshop. SUPER nice guy. Talked as if he was a friend. Very intelligent lovely guy.
Just don't ask about his dress sense.
He looks almost exactly the same as he did 40 years ago!

Richard O'Brien is awesome! He was in Hamilton (my home town) this year for OLIVER! the musical. I was in it, and collected hi fives from everyone. I got two smashing hi-fives from Mr. O'Brien and talked to him a couple of times. I even love the way he walks. Such a spring to his step and lightness in the way he talks. Mr.O'Brien is my inspiration and my hero. You rock!

This is going straight into my favourites- I was watching this very interview in hospital when I was in labour with my daughter. Rocky has always been one of my greatest joys, so Richard's was a very comforting presence! Thanks for uploading!

Saw the stage production on TV on Halloween this year, have to give my love and say, SOOO loved Stephen Fry but so good to see Richard O'Brien return to his baby.

I could listen to Richard O'Brien speak forever! It's just one of those voices. Six solid years of Friday night at midnight going to see Rocky Horror with all of the paraphernalia might have something to do with it but I don't think so. :-)

And also - his singing voice is the most wonderful EVER.

Still love Rocky Horror..Saw it at the Palace Theatre in 1986 lost count how many time ive seen it on stage and watched the film...Its one of those things thats going to live forever... God bless Rocky Horror
I have loved all the actors since I was 15 years old. All the songs are beautiful and have still got the vhs tape and now the dvd.

What an exceptionally talented & interesting artist Mr. O'Brien is! I was in middle school when RH fever hit my town, or more aptly, caught my attention. One of our local theatres, the Warner, showed it Sats at midnight for the longest time. I recall them stopping the film mid-movie one night, turning on the house lights, and warning us audience member/Rocky Horror revellers that if we didn't tone it down some, they'd cease it's run for good (our raucous toast tossing, among other things, was damaging the screen - a costly & integral part of the show). I get it now. Then, we just thought they were grumpy, stuffed-shirt grown-ups who cared not for fun.
I should have guessed that Paul O'Grady and Richard O'Brien would have a good chemistry. =)

I loved hearing the audience participation from the first time I saw the movie. I guess it could bog down the LIVE show though.
I remember hearing the people shouting out during my initial viewing of it and going, "What is going on??! Wow! They're really clever. How are they doing that?"
Little did I know that was just the first of many more viewings where I was happily calling out the lines and participating all the shenanigans and having water pistil fights after the movie got out.
The subtitles are amazing

Problem with Shock Treatment Richard O'Brien second movie was it came second, it came after Rocky Horror Picture Show.
If Shock Treatment had been done first......
Maybe I don't know his performance in shock treatment is pretty good just plot isn't exactly amazing. I don't know if people would have fallen in love with rocky horror as much as they did if shock treatment had come out first. It might have been more of a "shock". Plus shock treatment was kind of a forced sequel 😁
Shock Treatment has a damn good score. I used to play the cassette in my car way back when.
SHOCK TREATMENT IS A WORLD TREASURE.
Honestly, I love it more than RHPS. Cosmo and Nation are an even better duo than Riff Raff and Magenta. Don’t get me wrong...love love love RHPS, but Shock Treatment holds strong in my heart.

It's been a loooooong time since he wrote the lyrics, of course for someone who watches the movie and listens to the soundtrack it's easy to remember but for someone who barley watched the movie or listened to the soundtrack it's not that easy

He was. He was in Ever after with Drew Barrymore. He played the character Pierre Le Pieu. He didn't have such a big part in this movie but, a part nevertheless.
I would love to see a remake to the letter of the original starring...today’s Hollywood stars. I would also love to see a remake of “ it’s a mad mad mad world” and of course the Maltese falcon. Richard? Any help with these? I know you remade Rocky Horror but not like the original. How about a movie based on the making of the movie?

Richard was born in England and moved to NZ at age 10 and now has Dual UK and NZ citizenship. O Grady is from Birkenhead so not a proper scouser according to some Liverpudlians. (Im Welsh, so forgive me if I have this wrong)
