This guy is a self-made extremely rich man. It has a lot of credibility. What he said is in accordance with Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill) and The Strangest Secret (Earl Nightingale), "As you think, so shall you become." Words and thoughts are important.

I have been my own worst enemy. I was struggling through divorce and financial stress. I had to work hard at avoiding negative thoughts. There was a podcast called "The One You Feed" that was on my list of reprogramming my mind. Every interview started with the parable you spoke about. Good stuff.

Thanks Ken, I agree with you this is critically important. I recommend taking a negative belief about yourself, testing it against evidence in your life and if it is wrong, write down the positive reality once a day in a specific note book. (This may have been advice from Tony Robbins somewhere along the line.)

I like this, I do. But ultimately I and many others need the actual step by step process that I can take to make something happen and monetize an idea or concept. Especially if one has little investment capital to risk.
But I really like this because I hear so many people blaming someone else for their problems -what ever they may be.

You’re a poet! Write a novel 😊 I learned a lot about success and failure from reading history. The life of Hannibal Barca, for example. This is a man who had to overcome exceptional odds to succeed, and though he fell in the end, he is remembered forever as one of the greatest ever generals. The life of Fabius Maximus, the life of Marcellus, the life of Flaminius, all by Plutarch can reveal to you the life of Hannibal. Also Alexander the Great, Caesar. Wonderful inspiration that can teach us how winners think. One trait that they all had in common was faith in themselves and in Heaven (the gods in that time), and humility. They never ‘flexed’ on their fellow man, never showed off, and fought shoulder to shoulder alongside their soldiers.

This is such a great video, Ken. As is all of your content. You don’t like cut out coffee and cut up credit cards. I both agree and disagree. You have to live below your means, while you expand your means. At least in the beginning for the first couple of years. We want to decrease living expenses while we simultaneously invest and increase our earning ability. Once we have paid our dues and implemented the right type of cash flow. Then we can live the high life. Do it ! It’s so worth it ! You will never regret it. If I had to, I would gladly do it all over again !

Your mind hones in on negative thoughts because they are perceived as a threat that must be figured out and stopped. So the mind ruminates on them. Then it becomes a habit. Threats are everywhere and we obsess on them to be “safe”. But it’s an illusion. Giving these negative thoughts your full attention makes them grow. You must seek out anything that is good, pure, lovely and admirable and put your full focus on that. Feed THAT and the bad thoughts will wither and die. New bad thoughts will come but don’t feed them and they won’t grow.
They are not actually a threat. Don’t fall for that lie.

is that a ninja unlock? so most world leaders prob have some of this sauce...so in order to not self-pity the inner kid they must make others pitiful to balance the kid?

@@s4lino self-pity is your #1 enemy. In fact it's the #1 enemy of humanity. Think about it, if you didn't indulge in self-pity nobody could offend you, hence there would be no conflict in the world. moreover, if you didn't indulge in self-pity, you'd always work your tail off to achieve everything you desired in this life and not waste time.

I do love what you say ken, but the living within your means vs. Making more so your can afford what you want is problematic for most people. There are few people like you that have the drive to build the life you have where you can afford to do what you want with a much freedom as you do. Most people who think making more money will solve their brokeness actually just end up having bigger expenses. They still manage their money poorly, to the extent that they take on bigger debts and have so much more going out to monthly payments, that they end up in the same position they were before, but with nicer things. That is why the gurus teach living within your means.

Yeah, I will be the one who will say your wrong on the Bible verse, as you are said, I bet there will be people who tell me about the Bible verse. This is what it actually says.
    Proverbs 4:23
    New International Version
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
That means you want to be pleasing to God and doing your best not to fall into sin by guarding your heart.
