I been raising turkens cross with English fowl for 5 years I have them free range they sleep on the trees, All I have to do is collect the eggs and harvest the broiler.
Just started my chicken journey the Fourth of July this year, 2023. Adopt a three chickens from an elementary school project that needed to home three what they thought to be were hens… Lol. Turns out that one of them was a naked neck and it also turned out that it was a rooster… Lol loved him while I had him, but had to swap them out since I live in the city and roosters are not allowed.
They originate from the Kingdom of Hungary as this type of chicken was first mentioned as Szeremley chicken after the name of its first known breeder in Erzsébetváros (Elisabethstadt), Transylvania. It became well known all over Europe after a poultry exhibition in Vienna, in 1875 and the rest is history.
My girl, named turkey neck, she can escape the plane pen, and break back in. My pack of 5 dogs are terrified of her. I heard dogs crying on the porch I went running thinking goats got em. No just my Turken, fighting the dogs over cat food I flung out. Lol my guard chicken. Lol she is sweet, my lil human handles her.
The part about flying is not accurate, at least with the flock i have. They're excellent flyers, most of my flock spend their time on trees around Also very aggressive and fast, attacks first in any situation if threatened

That's true, I had an illness that decimated my flock, but my naked necks were untouched
