I can 1000% confirm this about the Faverolles' personality. I absolutely adore these cuties. Such personalities! Only trumped by my FaverollesXAmericana hen, who is PURE personality. They love engaging with people, very socially-driven, and sometimes act more like puppies than chickens.

I have 2 hens & one rooster. I love this breed.
They are not being bullied by my other chickens, thank goodness. 🙂

The channel "Whitt Acres Homestead" had introduced me to this breed. They seem very goofy and loveable chickens❤

They’re very friendly and good foragers but also accustomed to coop life. We have 4 boys at 6 weeks and they are definitely at the bottom of the pecking order and bullied pretty hard but are friendly anyway.

I raised Houdans and crossed them with Polish. They are high strung and nervous. The hybrid I created grew too large a crest that really crippled them in various ways. .

I had Salmon Faverolles for seven years. I admire them as a breed. They layed about 150 medium size eggs a year. They suffer in the heat, of Southern California! They are exceptionally gentle, and are friendly! Rosters were gentle, too. They are prone to lice. Make sure to delouse them. They are unique in looks. Keeping them with other breeds, can be problematic. Because they can be bullied. I would still have them, but the heat here, is not kind to them.

We love our Faverolle, Olive. She’s our favorite girl out of our small flock! We got her by accident as we thought were were getting an olive egger. She is the friendliest and has the most personality compared to our other 6 hens.(Orphingtons, Wyandotte, Polish, green queen, Bielefelder). The buff Orphingtons are definitely at the top of the pecking order.

Good video. I decided to start with faverolles when I got chickens. Most of what was said in this video is true but my rooster is very aggressive. He just got out of his juvenile stage and that's when he changed. Now I need a stick whenever I go into the run.

This sounds crazy, but this is how I've broken mean Roosters for 15 yrs now. Never fails. Think like a Roo. Come at him with your arms outstretched, bend at the waist to get your arms close to his level and walk at him pressuring him backwards. Jump at him now and again. Make a "beak" with your fingers and thumb and strike him with a pinch on his chest now and again. Do this until he submits. Sometimes it takes more than one session for particularly mean Roos, but it's amazingly effective. It's also very entertaining for your kids to watch 😂

@@jaebee9308I have a lavender orpington that use to belong to my daughter. He's beautiful but soooo aggressive! I'm terrified of him and can't spend any more time than necessary in the coop/run which means I can't just hang out with my hens. I've thought of selling him but nobody in their right mind would buy an aggressive rooster.

I love my faverolle chicks they have such big personalities. Very talkative. My husband says they don't sound like chickens they sound like dinosaurs. They are in with 3 gold laced sebright bantams and 1 brown leghorn and they get along for the most part. The leghorn can sometimes try to bulky them but never really aggressive just sorta don't forget I'm the top chick around here.

This is a great breed for a smaller space. They do not have as strong a drive to roam as many other breeds.

They do have a larger vocabulary than any of the other girls, but one of them was nearly naked from bullying when I got them as Pullets she has recovered well enough to try bullying her sister🤷‍♀️

Are livestock people capable of figuring out video, or do they just do slide shows? Asking for a friend...

watch other videos of other creators on YT. It's really disrespectful to assume "livestock people" can't create live-action videos, I've seen hundreds that are live action. More than likely, this maker is too busy working outside to make live videos and cut them up for you. This was an easy "video" to make, it doesn't mean they're stupid.
