Thank you for posting this video. I can't believe the horrible comments below. I thought this video was very well done and helpful to the novice trying provide internet to an RV with an external modem/router sitting close to the antenna. Thank you for the time and effort to post and create this video. It helps me to get to where I want to be with our build.
To add a bit : 1. Need to add some weather-proofing (rubber tape, sealant) to that case before you close it especially if you're putting it outdoors 2. Proper grounding is very important. Devices connected to outdoor antenna/poles via cable will be fried if that antenna got stroked with a lightning. For example: your computer > indoor router > outdoor modem/antenna (all via ethernet cables). Just remember that your house's circuit breaker aren't gonna protect your motherboard and router if you literally bypassed it with a lan cable to an outdoor antenna.
how to ground it? i mean, where can you connect a ground to it since almost everything is plastic and it is not metal and by grounding you mean just connecting it to the third pin of the socket it enough?

The ping is unusual. Also, you should use 2 antennas because LTE mostly uses 2x2 MiMo or even 4x4 MiMo.
You need to use another wifi repeater inside house as shown in video @04:50 for better wifi coverage inside house. It works well I am using 4g Router I bought from KSA in a similar manner. Router is outside inside a plastic box, Not as good as this one but works very well.
enlighten me, the tp link mr302O need a wired internet connection, so puting it outdoor it is just a wifi repeater. its not a cellular signal Internet setup, not a sim base lte 4G 5G connection.
Thank you, very interesting video. I get your idea because zone that I Life there is a Minimum coverage. But you don't explain which is the model of the módem you use, and I don't undestand the connection between the antena and the módem, It isn't explained un your video.
my friend , the antenna cable is 2 in 1 , the 2 connect in small router , and the 1 connect to the black antenna out side the box . in this video the guy uses one extra square shape white device and I don't really know what that is but the idea in general is easy and great!
At the end of the video, he is connecting the TP-Link to the USB modem which has 2 small ports for external Antenna, that becomes 1 connector for the small black outdoor antenna for additional gain.
I’m sure you had a message but somewhere along the line it lost me. Stop making so many unnecessary cuts in your edit and turn off that lame music... good information though therefore you get a thumbs up from me...👍🏾
It is inappropriate because the components are made with a temperature limit of 0 Celsius. It's cheap but it's work and money is wasted - time wasted is not considered because it's entertainment.
@@AsianBooth The comment is for what I saw, what I own / use I think is another story - what's the connection? Coincidentally, I found out the temperature range for this router: between -10 degrees Celsius and +60 degrees Celsius. Are the other equipments the same? The title of the video is false, the router used can only be 3G and 4G.
what about temprature issue all the stuff inside the box having direct sunlight exposure will there be any issue pls tell...the devices will get heated up or not
@@tarunk04 Of course, the positive temperature will rise above the allowable limit. And the negative temperature is a problem - at least in our country it is frequently recorded -20 Celsius overnight in the cold season ...
So he uses the worst 5g hardware and does it the hard way. Just use the EE 5g outdoor router so much easier. Never seen such a slower connection on any network anywhere,

Why would you put 5G in the video when the modem uses 3G/4G. That's why it's under $100
did you just drill a hole in your water proofed box?

Perfectly Done very innovative. But it may be not for hot areas since the outdoor wifi works upto 80 Deg. Celsius.

Does the indoor router need to be in bridge mode .
the pigtails were ts9 if you were wondering to sma
All very nice. Over done at the start then zoom it's over.
Hate to say but my 4G ZTE MF-90 indoors is giving 20> down and 43< up.
No need for ventilation holes or extractor fan?
So it's not 5g

1/3 of a second ping?? Something's very wrong
waterproof ok, but no ventilation will damage because overheating. You should intall 1-2 fans on and small holes with window net for cooling.
Ping is too high. Better use outdoor antenna than this and buy router with m.2 interface for module
what is an example for such a router with m.2?
May I ask for specifications for his poe splinter?
Only 3g and 4g
Where did you get the LTE USB key with external antenna connectors ? Thanks!
También me gustaría saber. !! Gracias
What type exsternal antena?
You put poe switch only
great video, it is for outdoor waterproof one.
Hi, do we need really a poe box with ethernet and micro usb to power up the system or a power unit with micro usb connection is sufficient? Thanks
Poe is not required waste of scrap normal ethernet with a less loss runs for 100 meters if more than 100 mts poe or power supply required
Need a 2 sim cat 6. Do you have these?

You can use any modem with TPlink MR-3020. The antenna it's optional but it will give you more gain.

The speed is slow becouse the PoE extracter is only 10/100 base-T
why does latency is so hight?
It's normal for broadband especially when during download/upload
@@AsianBooth no.

It is 4g. And the speed depends on the modem and antenna which can be changed.
If you seek a slower/faulty connection, go no further than your 2nd chin.
