Jambo Kenya Ep 4: Ol Pejeta

This video is about my visit to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It is located in Laikipia county which is located slightly north of the central highlands and in the rainshadow of the second tallest mountain in Africa, Mt Kenya. The area receives around 650 mm rainfall per year and at the time we went during August 2023, it was dry season. It is a beautiful place with the vast expanse of plains dominating the landscape with the backdrop of Mt Kenya and the Aberdares. It is one of the best places in the world to see wild Southern White Rhinos and Black Rhinos. It also has one of the highest predator densities in Kenya. The Sweetwaters Serena Camp is where we spent our sole night here and enjoyed a view of the animals at the water hole. The experience at Ol Pejeta was magical and this place is a must visit, I recommend that you visit Ol Pejeta during the drier months (June and September) for better wildlife viewing and better overall experience.
