Everyone seems to like these. I got the stainless bone stag, and I like it very much. I want a carbon one, however they all have that watch battery sheild in them. The white bone with coated black blade is calling me
I'd like it more if it was traditionally pinned. Not that I mind a modern slipjoint. It's just that I think it would look awesome traditionally pinned.
Where as i dont think it is the best Barlow ever. I believe it to be one of the best for the money! You have a good point about the walnut. It probably is not laminated as i mentioned. It looks really good. They did a fantastic job on this Daddy barlow. I bought the D2 and the stainless stag bone. I may have to get a few more. Though they are going fast, im sure they will make more. I do have a bear paw shield on my stag trapper that looks great! I agree they should have used that. But they put these silly ones on the Carbon steel.
The knife doctor mentioned that you served on the Saipan. I served onboard her from 91-93. Thanks for your service I retired from the Navy in 97 in Mayport Fla. itâs been my home since 93.
Good looking barlow very nice handles
It's for real, brother. Nice knife. ð
Dig the profile of that Blade. Real sweet folder. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome, brother ð
Got 2 of the Red Stag Bone Carbon ones yesterday and they seem pretty perfect

OK, I've only seen the silly one. That makes sense that they're on the Carbon steel models.
If Bear and Son can constantly make knives like this they will profit from it. Collectors are starving for budget USA made slip joints.
Definitely. I've been waiting years for them to step up.
If it only had a different style blade.
I know. I definitely would have preferred a spear point. But these sheep's foot blades are wearing me down.
I have about 15 Bear and Sons knives. About half have pretty good fit and finish. Some of the others are stinkers though.
My experience is the same. What I'm wondering is why we feel differently about bear and son then Case.ð
It is a beautiful Barlow! Thanks for sharing
Really good knife, brother. You're welcome ð
Nice Barlow video. I was wondering whatâs with the shotgun shell knife I saw in your video a few days ago. Any brand info ?
It was marked Federal. You can still find them at retailers. It's well built too.

@timwhite4584 thanks Tim and thanks for your service. The Saipan was old, but she could really get up and move. I was born in Miami.
