    I like how whenever the RSV4 is near, you can hear the V4 over all the other bikes. :)

      @@kashy1116 I mean, I loved my 750 too but the rsv4 is on another level in several ways. I dunno, it really depends on you.

    Watching the video and reading the review, I have to agree with the opinions on the RSV4. It is an amazing bike, which really does inspire confidence. The Factory version giving an even better ride than the R version.
    That V4 engine is also seriously fun to play with.

    Money is no object - Ducati 1199
    Everyday riding - BMW S1000RR
    In between - Aprilla RSV4

    Yep, I have ridden both of those bikes (I sold Honda/Suzuki for a while) and that is so true. BTW the Beemer is very comfortable, especially for what it is. And yah there is power/torque everywhere, just much more of it as it spins up.

    I agree sounds better and in production form gives more power and a smoother power curve.

  • @KingCast65
    @KingCast65 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well I have ridden the BMW and I must say it's a fun thing bro. Power is addicting even if you don't use it all it is about the cushion that is available UNDER the top of the power curve. That having been said I feel that my ER-6 had just the right amount of power for city and light highway stuff, you had to work it a little but that's fun. My 955i just pretty much rips, especially with race can and down a tooth in front. Don't really NEED even the 130hp it makes.

    I wonder what engine mode they had the Ducati in because it REALLY makes a difference. I took one on a test drive on the steet, put on race mode and I could barely control it. However, when I put it on wet mode with traction control on 2 it was INCREDIBLE as a street bike!! I'm going to go on a lim and say they didnt have it in the right mode....

  • @2dL
    @2dL 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    why the fuck they always say that 2 cyl or the V4 on the aprillia is something special, the inline four is the best sounding all around and it vibrates a lot less as well

    Inline 4 is more "special" than a V-Twin and just as special as the V4. It revs higher and makes more power than all the other engines.

  • @Chris10rx
    @Chris10rx 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Out of these 3 bikes, I would go for the RSV4. Aprilia is my second favorite brand and its a monster on the track. On the ducati, I like that robotic headlight it has. S1000rr can go off the cliff lol. All you got to do is change the seat on both of the other models and it'll be alright.

    even though I`m a big Ducati fan, I agree with ya there. BUT ! the panigale is this years best selling superbike world wide, with 7500 sold units...
    and lets face it, Ducati sportbikes are still built to go round a track in the fastest possible way and 'oh yeah we have to make it street legal so lets put some lights on and shit...'
    you buy a Ducati with your heart =)

  • @KingCast65
    @KingCast65 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    True true but it's a little more than just torque as a Buell has plenty of torque... at any rate I think the triple has close to ideal power characteristics especially if you are going to be in the wet much where you have to watch the twins a bit more. As you already know, the midrange of the Triumph is exemplary. Peace.

    Wrong in two ways. Seeing as 1000 cc's shakes out to be a liter and with the Ducati having 1,198 cc's, that would make the Ducati a 1.198 liter bike. Now, every other "liter" bike, that I am guessing you are trying to argue about about, ranges from 999 down to 998 cc's. Put that all together and you are wrong.

  • @aluisious

    Another example, time was the R6 was the power king for 600s. But it made all that power from spinning real high, and it was a real sloth out in the real world. Barely wanted to get out of its own way when the engine wasn't screaming. My old 99 CBR600F4 was faster than an R6 almost everywhere, even much of the time on the track, where I could get some midrange drive out of corners while some poor bastard on an R6 was still trying to spin the thing up.
    Just an example of why power is misleading.

    I must say that this uk shootout is probably the weakest compare to mcn and motortrend. Although I'm a fan with you guys. You must take heed of what I have 2 say. This is not a complete shootout without the other uk bikes and you have to show detail spec and power for each bike. You also have to announce the winner on the video.

    The most power of any street bike...whee, who cares? When the hell do you use 190 HP or whatever on the street? Can't even use it in lower gears, the thing will just flip. So OK, now you're full on the throttle somewhere in high gear near the red line. Congrats, you're either going to turn into ketchup on the side of some vehicle or object near the road, or the cops are going to arrest you on the spot and you'll lose your license for years.
    SOUNDS FUN!

    A ducati competes in the litre bike class so yes its as much a litre bike as all the other japanese rivals. 1 liter =1000 cc= 1000ml. If you want to get technical there is no bike that is a litre bike seeing as no bike is exactly 1000cc's.

  • @aluisious
    @aluisious 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    "Power under the curve" is just another way of saying torque. Everyone loves torque, so why not talk about it, instead of max power like these moto mags do all the time. Your ER6 has a little low down torque with the twin, and I've had a Street Triple and ride an old FZ1 now, both are torquey and it's good. The FZ even has more power than I can really ever use, or want.
    Just saying there's better things to talk about than max power for bikes on the street. Track, sure.

    Yeah, where is the MV AGUSTA? Those bikes are hot and sexy as well. I consider Ducatis to be the ferrari or motorcycles, and Agustas the Lambos of motorcycles lol. Forget about triumph.
