I’ve honestly never heard of a food bank that lets you go so often or choose what you want. Where I live you have to “prove” you are in need of it and you only go like once a week or a month and they just give you a bag and it’s very minimal. You are lucky!

There was even one in Tempe l use to go to that just gave out meat. They got it from the stores and was good pieces of meat. Not sure they are still around anymore since the pandemic
Thats cool I do a breakfast quiche its simple just sounds fancy LOL!! I am gonna try yours OH I did your Tamale pie But I changed it up with Chili and Jalapeño Cheese Corn bread your recipes are THE BEST THANKYOU !!
Nice haul again, and that casserole looks wonderful. I'm sure gonna try that, maybe next week. I had to have a tooth pulled yesterday so gotta hold off a bit. I'm thinking I could use some of a giant can of crushed tomatoes I had opened awhile back and froze in smaller containers. I always have some rolled sausage cut in half and frozen also. I hardly ever buy fresh tomatoes, though I love them. I do freeze red and green peppers and onions all cut up.
That's a good idea! Great way to save money by freezing extra you aren't using and not letting it go to waste! Ouch on thst tooth getting pulled. Just soft food for you for a bit!
Wow, you get awesome stuff from your food bank. I'm jealous, lol. And where I live you are only allowed to go to one food pantry per month, even though there are multiple locations in the area; you have to sign in, so they know if you were already at one that month.
I am very lucky and have an amazing food bank. I had one like yours back in Missouri and it was the same thing. Could only go once a month and they didn't have anything like what they have here in Montana.
When I first started going, they only had mobiles not the shopping, because of the big C, that's when I did go twice a week and was able to get a good stock pile of canned goods and we went through the fresh foods and meats. Going there and seeing how much produce got thrown away at the end is what made me get into pressure canning! So I could save the food no one wanted and use it to feed my family! Good question!!

One of the food banks l used in the pass even let's you pick out 3 pieces of clothing for each family member if needed.

They make us prove that we qualify as well address, income, and zip code.
Yes she is very fortunate and lucky to be able to visit the food bank so often.
