Review: Honda Forza 750 (2021) | road test review after 650 miles
Is this scooter the sportiest maxi-scooter on the market? Surely this isn’t just a commuter, with the Showa USD forks, twin Nissin disc brakes, a sublime DCT box giving true motorcycle dynamics on the road.
Visordown tested the new 2021 Honda Forza 750 for a couple of weeks, covering around 650 miles to really find out what the biggest maxi-scooter in the Honda line-up has to offer. This 745cc parallel twin really does make quite the racket as well…

Honda really don’t like fitting cruise control! Should be fitted as standard to bikes in this price range.

All those plastic panels don't come cheap. Rather elaborate molds to manufacture parts like that. And if they don't sell a lot of bikes, the economics leaves only one option, charge more than a naked bike. But for the functionality and safety of a big scooter compared to a naked bike, I'll pay the extra any time.

The Forza 750 is a fantastic machine, and I don't miss cruise control.

Can tell this is the first generation of this bike, I'd say come back in a few years when we're a couple of generations in when they got more refinements from the 350 on there. Also more storage, 125 and 350 can fit 2 full face helmets under the seat, this needs that. That and a large box on the back then no need for pannier kit.

I have case behind, bought all wind deflectors for legs and now even new wind screen from Givi. Windscreen is bigger and u can even set height of it. So this really frustrates me, bcs Forza is just not stable at high speed on ac. It feels like its bending all the time. Tmax was so stable and calm even at highest speed 180kmh, but forza starts to wobble at 150kmh. Do u have the same problems and how to fic that if u even can!? I think that Honda have missed a trick or three here. There should be a deluxe/gt version that addresses all your points and includes better weather protection for the hands, support for the lower back, better rear suspension and perhaps integrated panniers from the design stage not additional. I say this as a rider familiar with dct (5000 miles) looking for something lighter than a BMW R1200RT but with good weather protection and less weight, (dodgy lower back). The cruise control or lack thereof is a big thing for me because in these days of average speed cameras it is so very easy to go over the limit with dct and not realise it. My test ride was not that long but enough to rule it out as a replacement.

Did you change your bike, Peter? I have a GS and was looking at a Forza 350 or something like that as a practical city/B-road 2nd bike (actually 3rd as I have a V7 too) but videos of this and the Forza 750 came up and I'm now getting ideas in my head about one of these! Ridiculous as I have the GS for distance and weather protection. Just think I'd miss the oomph on the 350. However, the 750 is double the price of the 350. Another fly in the ointment is the NT1100....which I also really fancy and maybe a replacement for the GS when the warranty runs out. Probably just as well Honda doesn't have any demo bikes or my credit card would be on fire. Went to the dealer to look at the Forza and saw the X-adv in grey with the coded top box. Very, very sexy beast! I'm a bit of a short-arse at 5'8" though so it may be off the list as soon as I sit on it. Cheers.

Tbh though, I'm liking this Forza 750. Not only does it have more style than the X ADV, it also looks as nice if not nicer than the Yamaha Tmax 560 Tech & has more power.
Okay the Yamaha 560 Tech has more storage, heated grips etc but you can add heated grips to the Forza & also add side panniers.
And as for the adjustable screen, that really doesn't bother me because you could just change it to suit.
Realistically I'd rather buy the Forza out of all three & add heated grips, a new screen & an Akrapovic exhaust in due course.
I think the Forza would look mint at that point. Plus it's the cheapest to buy out of all three.

I think that they're, basically, the same engine as the NC750X, which is cheaper and still has that storage in the "Frunk". I'd go for that. I quite like scooters. They, certainly, have their place. The big advantage of having a scooter is being able to carry so much stuff and nip through the traffic, which this doesn't have. Along with my bike, I had a 200cc Suzuki Burgman, which had at least twice the storage of this.

    • @barrysmith2361
      @barrysmith2361 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

My Forza 300 also has twice the storage space. But they had to find somewhere to put the larger engine/gearbox and physically the 750 doesnt look much bulkier than my 300. Personally I dont think the 300 is great for nipping through traffic and with the extra weight of the 750 I would be waiting in line.

    • @Watson2108

You need to consider the much better weather protection, no water spraying up from underneath and ruining your shoes and pants. If you‘re not in a heavy downpour you will stay completely dry.
I also like the feet forward position, more options to stretch out on longer rides.

The price in Australia is way too much. Same price as a Honda rebel 1100cc.

Fancy having to hold the throttle open while having fun..oh the pain!! 😂😂😂If I ever see an old knarly 70 yr old with massive forearms, he probably toured on a Laverda or guzzi..Man up & enjoy..the more bikes become clever , the less engaging they become.its great but 10k+?? I'll have the Guzzi😂😂

Good video. Scooters are still silly AF for commuting vs a motorcycle. I smoke these maxis on a motorcycle 1/3 the price. Scooter are good for grocery shopping near home but these big boats are u reasonably large for that purpose.

Who wants to buy these ugly plastic behemoths?
There are plenty of chain-drive road bikes to choose from.
