Great video. Just for clarification cracks in the side would estate replacement but you can buy boot/washer/spring replacement kits and then only replace the entire cold if you get an error code.
Thanks for watching the video and sorry for the late response. Yes you could replace the boots and springs, however I believe my coils were original and had never been replaced. I really replaced them as preventative maintenance.
The middle ground is buy 1 and keep it on hand, along with a code reader. If one goes, replace it immediately, then buy 7 more and replace them all. Replacing all 8 is pretty expensive preventative maintenance if there are no bad symptoms.
You can get 8 Denso iridium spark plugs and 8 Denso coil packs from Rock Auto for 500 bucks delivered in 2 days. My local dealership wants 150 per coil, not installed! I said are you guys crazy, do you know why most people use Rock Auto?!

nice. how many miles you got?
Good morning Francis, I’m at 210K right now. I should’ve replaced these when I replaced my spark plugs last summer. Thanks again for watching.
@@LXPlore sure.. this is not cheap. I'm also on my original's
@@MCJEDITZ10 you’re correct… they’re about $57 a piece on my Amazon link.
Stick with Denso coils if replacing
Great job, maintenance is Golden! Time to clean your engine bay. ;)
Thank you! Facts, this engine bay is dirty. It’s definitely on the list of things to do.

I’m gonna say people use Rock Auto because of their low prices. I’ve used them for several things.
@@LXPlore Agreed, and they don’t sell counterfeit parts. eBay and Amazon concern me unless it’s coming from a dealership.
@@hokie9910 EBay is definitely prone to counterfeit parts. I just research the Amazon seller before I buy. Thanks again for watching.

@@SeahawkAz thanks for watching the video. Buyer beware!
Cyl 6 misfire so I am going to chang the coil hopefully it helps
Definitely check the spark plug and all connections too. I’m sure it’s just the ignition coil. Thanks for watching the video.
If not consider aligning the valves (each 60k km)
Know anyone in Northern California that can undercoat my frame on 2000 100 Series Toyota Landcruiser? It has some surface rust ?
Unfortunately I do not. There’s a few DIY coatings out there, however that sounds super messy.
