Rege helping Phoebe out when she didn't know what to say is the sweetest
Her interviews are a struggle. I've been noticing she takes long pauses, stumbles over her words or simple cannot find the words to answer the questions asked. It's sad really. Rege has been throwing her a lifeline anytime they are interviewed together. She needs more media training honestly.

@@polivepea I don't think the problem is her lack of training. She seems nervous, she's been acting since a young age and is sweet and speaks quite well. I think it's anxiety. I'm intelligent, well spoken but sometimes I find it hard to focus and relax so I probably come off jittery and odd. The truth is, we don't know her, it could be anything. She's a great, young actress.
Lets not forget she is human, everyone of us can get nervous while talking to millions, tbh the majority of us would be too

Margeaux Bernal, that is the main reason why I haven't gotten on board with any new Shondaland shows. She killed off Brett Tucker's character in Station 19, and I am still reeling. I don't understand this impulse to keep killing off characters. I think it's a symptom of lazy writing. With this one however, I don't think that she can. The genre is romance, and the main characters don't usually die. Brigerton is magnificent, and worth the watch. I am rewatching season 1 for the third time.
I rewatched this for like 6-7 times already in 3 days. Cause goshhh we need season 2 now.

I also recommend Little Women! The most recent one with Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan. It's on Netflix. Aaah you'll love it for sure.
I really didn't think I would like the show. I've passed it up a couple of times and went on to watch other Netflix series. Then me and my husband are flipping through Netflix deciding what to binge watch next. He clicks on "Bridgerton" and says "I hear this one is good". So we watch the preview and I see this handsome guy in a love scene and I try not to sound too excited and reply "yes, yes, lets watch it". The rest is history.
Phoebe has such an elegant and classy attitude, she's a super mature lady😍😍
How old is she does anyone know? She looked so young in the serious, a bit older here with makeup but still very young looking.

The casting is impeccable. We can't deny that Regé's look as Simon carried this show, but every actor on it were perfect for their roles. We loved and hated them just as the story intended it to be.

I really do think Phoebe’s stumbling is anxiety-induced. We don’t know her personal life and struggles, its a very nervous situation to talk online to the news like that i applaud her for being so grounded and getting through it all. She is very well spoken. Regé is lovely for trying to help her through trying to find her words. I assume they have an understanding as friends in real life about her being nervous for interviews that he seems to understand very well. Love them both!
She’s been a professional actress since childhood starring in many BBC series. She’s not shy.

I truly loved the escape of Bridgerton- Series 1. I was able to escape into the beautifully written out story of a time long ago set in beautiful places, big gorgeous castles and filled with characters of nobility in a time long ago. In my time of grief from losing 2 of my sisters and my mother and my husband being laid off from his job, this show helped me to put my mind on the Duke of Hastings, beautiful Lady Daphne, and figuring out who is Lady Whistledown. Please tell me there will be several more series to come. I truly hope so.

I don't recall them giving any credit at all to Julia Quinn. She is the wonderful writer and creator of the books this series is based off of. The first season is based from her first book called "The Duke and I" and I highly recommend it. There are 8 Bridgerton children and she wrote a book for each child and the story of them finding love. She writes with so much wit and charm and gosh as much as I really like the show I wish they had put more of her subtle, and sometimes hilarious, humor in it than they did. She also served as one of the producers. Years after she finished the series she gave the mother her story as well as some of the grandchildren I believe. Shondaland did make many changes for the series and made it into a fantasy historical romance where there is no focus at all on race or color of ones skin, which I think was kind of genius for the times we are going through and I think Rege-Jean Page truly becomes the perfect Simon Bassett and Phoebe Dynever the perfect Daphne. Together they were magical and I really have enjoyed it a lot. I fully believe there will be a season 2 and if they follow the order of the books, it will be about Anthony and Kate Sheffield from the book "The Viscount Who Loved Me". They are all wonderful books. And yes I agree with everyone Rege is unbelievably handsome and really commands whatever room he walks into.

@@franziskamaria5157 They were supposed to have already have filmed season 2 starting this past July just to have it ready if it gets greenlit by Netflix (I think it will) but due to Covid they can't start filming till 2021 and it took over a year and a half to bring season 1 to air and they are saying it will be 2022 before season 2 would air. But I am hoping whomever "they" are it will be quicker than that. That will be a long time to wait.

she seemed so young looking....to be honest at first I couldn't connect with those two falling in love; but the more they brought out Daphne's personality...I was hooked and rooting for them. *spoiler alert* I cheated and read the Netflix descriptions because I thought something bad would happened to the Dutch and that their Love would never become complete....so happy it ended well for them and with a baby. Rege` is the heart throb for 2021, but for me his appeal is molded in how he treated Daphne....this was the perfect love story that everyone dreams of....a man who is honest, strong, a protector, provider; and she brought out positive things in him....how he looked at her....and he never smiled....but she brought that out too.....A love everyone wants....and Yes....they became best-friends....5 Stars! Also I loved that no matter what was going on inside of the Dutch as it relates to his father ---he always had great respect for Lady Danbury...his mom's best friend...and basically his aunt and who had been his caregiver.

I LOVE this series! I especially love the diverse cast. So refreshing to see young, old, fat, thin, black, white, Asian cast members instead of only white, thin beautiful actors. Loved the contemporary music. I stumbled onto it and I’m so glad I did.

Regé and Phoebe are perfect together. I have no words for their chemistry. I’m not ready for season 2 if it means we get less of these two and their steamy scenes 😭 I haven’t had enough of these two yet. I hope they don’t really stick to the book’s plot.
Nah, Anthony’s story is truly so good and will resonate with a lot of people more. I daresay even way better than the story of The Duke and I. Now the main thing they should do is cast the PERFECT actress for Kate Sheffield, who is the main love interest in Anthony’s story - and possibly the story of season 2. If they get the actress right, it will be a hit.

the questions asked were pretty shallow asking about not getting the "fame" experience and "how terrible was it to wear corsets" but the actors were so respectful, appreciative and wise they were able to turn the interview into something positive

I bingewatched the whole thing in one sitting...I have rewatched for a week...just everything is stellar, the cast, the storyline, the acting, you have Julie Andrews...all so lavish too with the balls and dancing and costumes...and yes, Rege is so handsome...Phoebe seems like a humble and nice person too...what's not to like? Now where is Season 2?

I love this show 💯 they both are good energy ❣️but, he is so dam fine.
You wouldn't mock them for having a choreographer for the dancing, or a fight director to teach them any potentially dangerous fighting moves, even for something like a slap that could result in hearing loss....why would you mock them for using an intimacy coordinator? This new position in stage and screen has been a long time coming to protect the rights and comfortability of actors who are often forced into positions they're not ok with. Maybe next time instead of laughing every time you say a professional's title do some research first and find out just why this role is vital in modern productions of any sort. This was demeaning to those in the industry as well as insulting to anyone who had previously been in an intimate scene where they were left feeling unsafe or even uncomfortable before this role was created.
I'm not sure it's really mocking , like ah ha someone has to teach to have sex. Most people assume the sex itself is coordinated like with all other blocking but everything else that goes into a scene being intimate is just good acting ability and chemistry. So if take that stance it would be weird or funny to have an intimacy coordinator.

My sister recommended that I see the show. Boy am I glad because the show is marvelous. Rege is extremely handsome. The chemistry between Rege and Phobe is amazing. I also recommended it to a friend and she had watched it twice. I too will watch it again! Bravo!

OMG....I just finished watching Brigerton. I made it thru half the 1st episode last year but wasn't feeling it. I now know I must have had a fever because I love love loved it. Very Pride and Prejudice.
