This is just excellent. So many screws and ribbon cables to remove, and many little screws to lose in the process. Thanks buddy.
It's a horrible build machine this one, absolute nightmare to repair. Thanks for the vid btw, it helped a lot !
I've only swapped the HDD for an SSD and upgraded the RAM to 16 gb but this was useful. BTW this is a dream laptop to open and disassemble.
One of the USB ports on one I got off of Ebay was damaged, luckily it is the one on a daughterboard, and I found a bottom case on Ebay that came with it. So I have to swap the bottom case.
Thank you very much for this video, it was extremely helpfull.
Very well done, thank you very much for the video!
Nice one, helped me a bunch :)
The USB port on the left side is damaged, do you have a part number for it? Does it plug in or is there soldering involved? I have a lot of electronics experience so soldering wouldn't be an issue.
Hey I have a problem with my machine, the screen is really dim as in barely visible unless you get real close to see. Any idea on how to fix it?
So not possible to upgrade the CPU? I have a 5540 that was given to me with an i3.. would like to put an i5 or better in it
Great video! Many thanks for uploading. What a horrid laptop to work on! I could replace the entire case of a Stone NT310 in the time it takes you to get to the top case off. Am I right in thinking that the CPU is soldered directly onto the motherboard, so you have to replace motherboard and processor together? If that's true, then that is truly awful - criminal!
is there space or slot (5540) for install M.2 Sata?? please advise me..thx
FFS DELL. I have to rebuild the whole damn laptop just to change thermal paste.
Jajajajajajaja desarmarla es en un dos por 3, pero para armarla puede durar una eternidad y lo dejo todo tirado!......
