    can stiiffness modifer be give to torrsion in beam as 0.35 for strength model

    Qn: is it ok if i use scale factor of service model(eqx/specx) in ultimate model for analysis and design or i have to scale model in sls and uls both.
    Qn 2: what will be the modifiers for spandrals?

      Q1. Yes, scale up for both.
      Q2. Spandrels are flexural elements like beams. Use appropriate modifiers numbers for beams for f11, f22 & f11.

    Sir, as I understood we can also use stiffness modifier as per IS 16700 2017 even for the bldg of height less than 50 m
    Pl confirm yes or not sir

    First thanks for the video sir....
    in Column if Moment of Inertia is reduced for Bending only than why for Shear Wall it reduced for Axial (Membrane) direction? (As both are same type of load carrying system)

      Membrane is not axial. It is out of plane. And we want to design wall only to take load along length/inplane direction. Hence, 0.01 for mxx.
