Thank you for sharing this! It's great to read both dogs body language and hear about your method (getting dogs used to being around other's and why they may not take treats).

Very helpful to see how a fearful dog can be helped to face their fear and move towards confidence by providing guidance in the presence of triggers in a safe and controlled environment. Thank you.

This is expert dog-handling. The people who think you're cruel to the dog obviously haven't seen dogs correct each other 😅 Great job!

Brilliant, I love the patient way in which you deal with the owner. It takes time to learn how to do it right. Not everyone understands that

Exactly it’s not easy, especially managing a large scared dog.

Wow... simply amazing.. I love the fact that you instruct us while reviewing the actual training. Am training my GSD short period every day. Long process however my engagement with my puppy is very rewarding. Thank you..🙂

Thanks for a great video. My first suspicion when ever a dog like this is not behaving well is exercise. Just not tired enough, often enough. Weimaranas, Vizslas, German Short Haired Pointers and Dalmatians are all very intelligent and loving dogs, but if you don't run them ragged every single day, they will expose you. Take up running and enjoy the affection.

Thanks for your comment, but that isn’t the case with this Dog. It’s extremely fearful and anxious it Can be hard to pinpoint the exact reason a dog is like this. Sometimes they can be born this way other times. There is a trauma and sometimes Owner inadvertently reinforces the behaviour to make it worse. But I do a agree exercise is a priority, in every dogs life.

Thank you for this great advise. My problem is whenever I try this method of correction, I feel really bad for the dog and like I'm a terrible person so I chicken out way too soon. Plus I also tend to pet them at the wrong time too without realizing it. I have a very strong love for dogs so its hard for me to put those sympathetic feelings aside when they are fearful even though they clearly need training. Really hope I can learn to work through it and do better for the dogs.

It's not easy sometimes. One of the biggest things people misunderstand is that you can correct a dog that is fearful and aggressive provided It understands that you are trying to help it through a problem. It’s not about just pulling a lead for anything. Timing has to be impeccable and when I am using a lead on a scared dog it’s more about redirecting and distracting the dog and getting it through a problem that is focused on.

Jason is very experienced obviously. He can judge if the dog is sufficiently relaxed to enable learning..so many owners can't measure that and are not careful in managing stressors often because they don't have time. The dog is left to make tte decisions in the garden..going self employed😅 then out walking busy streets where, with an unaware owner, it still has to decide fight or flee.
