This is such wonderful advice. I also would like to add. If the pet owners have several dogs that are too powerful for you to handle or to be able to break up a fight. Do not take the job. The other advice is if the person needs you within a few days and they say they have 2 dogs and maybe a cat. You get to their house and they have more animals than they said. I do not pet sit for those types of people. Because they will not be forthcoming with situations of their animals. They also must have a veterinarian with a credit card on file. Things I have learned during my 3 years of pet sitting.
