I know I'm a year late, I never even got past the first save in Mahina's story (My first traveler) and I decided it was time to get back into it, and it was crazy to see April 15, 2023 as the save I was overwriting, still my lil Lv2 Ochette 😂 But thanks for this guide man!!! You were out here doing God's work! I'm nowhere near far enough in the game to really make use of all this yet, but I've gleaned lots of new information from it! I just found my first Cait like super super early this morning, tried using Mahina but quickly found out they sadly have no elemental weakness. Probably for the best, as with the proper tools they are already easy enough to conquer. I had just finished Chapter 1 and was doing some exploring all around and while in the middle of my first sidequest, doing some farming and grinding to get all the rest of the gear and items I need as well as a nice dagger for when I add my first other party member, Throné to the team. I was so caught off guard by the Cait appearing in the area right above her village. That new signature theme music was cool though! I never used any guides or walkthroughs for the first OT, didn't really need them and wanted to go in blind, aside from a banter chart. But I wanted to best as best informed this time around as possible, and I think I'm all set now. Thank you again!
How many times can you summon the Chubby Cait? Is it infinite? Or is it finite like the first one? I remember you could only summon them 3 times with H'aanit.
Best part about OT2 is that unlike H'aanit, Ochette is keeping her monsters on an extremely tight leash, so they have infinite uses. Quite the improvement.
@@grimreaper5864 not all monsters are infinite. The high end mini bosses you capture can only be summoned once per battle. Unless you use the glitch, of course.
Idk what happens with me. I have everything for caits and octopuffs to show up more often and after 100 fights they don't show up. 2x cait powders and 3x octopuff pots + rare monsters.
Ice from Npc at night time. Check out my ornate dagger video for her. Wind from the wind reminents in the cavern of waves. They can drop them and also be stolen from. Think shadow is also from the same Npc I got ice from.
Also, is it bc the cat has a Status on it that it hangs around? Bc at 5.04 time stamp you see that the cat is only has toxic on it, is that why it sticks around and doesnt run away?
To add to the Alrond method, be sure to lvl Temenos first, so he can recruit for free, as doing it with Agnea is very low chance, and buying him with Part is 160k or something.
@Pink Gem But wait, there's more! Not only does it have a stupidly low chance, it can ALSO wipe your party! My favorite was when I had Partitio dancing (with full power you can have him use his latent for a max boosted Bewildering Grace) and he 1. Buffed the whole enemy team, 2. Silenced my whole party, 3. Set all allies to 1 hp. and then 4. Hit all allies with a massive explosion, instantly killing everyone. Even though I had rise again, enemies acted before anyone could attempt recovery and one shotted my healer. I've never felt so utterly betrayed lmao
Between Castii using Remedy at max and Ochette using the Chubby Cait at max my buff game gets pretty crazy. *** Lap of Luxury renders some of the heaviest hitting attacks from bosses, useless. Want to mention one here but I won't for spoilers sake.

it took me 10 hours to make the first chubby cait appear. all powders and upgraded accessories/more rare monster equipped. hang in there!

Rare monsters do not work in these games they annoy more than provide enjoyment
Exactly… the only game where it works for my is Dragon quest games

Doesn’t seem like a lot of ExP when you are lvl 50 and above. Are there easier methods when let’s say, 70 and up?

Try map south of timberain. I meet 2 Cait and 1 octopuff on 1 single run. But I use 3 octo pot and 2 Cait powder
