I like your content.. I watch alot of blacktail video.. That territory you are working is prime please keep vids. Coming. Steep and mossy.. BIGFOOT COUNTRY.. Thanks Again.😊
You can sure tell how jumpy these blacktail are. The Mountain lions are around every corner to them. To take a nice Black Tail Buck, , in that country, with a bow?? Is one of the hardest hunts out there. A true trophy.. Not that that matters a bit.
Is this Wa ,State ? If so the terrian reminds me of a place I seen but never went up ,Mt Higgins ,near the top on the south facing side ,very steep ,and rocks similar to where you were at .
Curious approximately what elevation do you find the Cascade blacktail in late bow season? Not looking for specifics or to know this spot just curious if they are migrating or residents.
This is going to sound general, but I have found them high on spots where I sank to waist deep snow in spots and way down low to approx. 2000 ft. As for local or migrating, you'll find both in my opinion. If your hunting lower than snow line you get some locals and some migraters that come down from deep snow looking for does in heat, and some of those cover some serious ground until they find one. This is just speculation of course, you would have to have a tracker on some to be sure. My advice would be the same as others, go where other people don't and they seem to like steep terrain, at least for high cascade deer, I'm no help with valley animals, never have wanted to deal with Timber companies or private land owners.
Killer hunt. Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing. Really cool to see the pictoglyphs in the Cascades

Thanks for watching, it's just as fun to find things like that as it is the deer.
