Turning an Old Table and Bed Slats into a Sea Creature

  • In the woodcarving world there's generally a few types of wood that people will recommend for carving. But what if you just have random bits of wood lying around and you still wanna try woodcarving? Well...who says you can't?
Even though I wouldn't wanna carve this type of wood every day, I'm still glad I took what was essentially junk and turned it into something new and one of a kind, all while learning about the Gaelic sea beast, the Cirein Croin.

Now that is a wonderful video and so Clint Rose. I thought "I'll watch a quick five minutes and get back to the workshop," and here I am half an hour later. Just had to keep watching. The outro section is excellent and such a good idea to let the evening sun show off an already superb job in the perfect kind of light. Great job all round Clint, thanks mate. Oh, and seriously, thanks for the shout-out; that was very kind of you.

Thanks mate! I appreciate you watching all the way through, very kind. It's always hard to finish a video and to show off whatever it is you've made and no worries for the shout-out, it's overdue to be frank!

That came out really well. I am glad you left in the bit where something went wrong. So often on TH-cam vids everything is perfect. And as we have chatted about on twitch a lot of woodwork is knowing how to rescue it when something goes wrong.
    Table looks great!

Haha well there are always things that go wrong in my projects but as you say that's the nature of woodwork. Thank you sir, appreciate it!

Heard sharing comments help so, here is a snarky comment! 😂 Seriously, there is only one person who has to like it, you. Turned out pretty cool.

Awesome job! I love the scaling element you incorporate into your projects. You take extra time to getting the scaling right. I love your stop motion clips too!

Hey thanks very much, very kind of you! Yeah the stop motion stuff takes some time but I think it helps to show people just how much work goes into carving, as you already know of course!
