Great info. If you want better free spool ditch the level wind on the komodo and go with a small conventional like a fathom 8 or tesoro 10. Just a thought. Tight lines

I have switched to a fathom 8xn and dedicated slow pitch rod. 👍
What brand micro slow pitch jig do you use?
These days I use slow death jigs. They are our own jigs we started making this year!
Careful lifting them that high out of the water...was giveing me a deja vu vibe.
Instead of putting the rod behind you, you could just let some line out of the reel. May save you some headache :)
