Thank you for taking the time to review this from a motorcyclists point of view. Looks to be a good way to get into motovlogging on the cheap. Microphone support +EIS are the standouts for me.
Thanks Will for the video! I had a Victure ac700 which was pretty similar with this a79. I send it back because every time when the battery was changed I had to set the time and date. It also doesn’t have distorsion correction, but I could live with this. Has the a79 same behavior? What I like at Victure is the snap on case. Is easier to change the battery as it’s on the wrap style one. Regarding the remote control, it is able to take pictures while recording? Now I get an Apeman a100 which is touch screen. I didn’t want desperately a touch screen because they can’t be fully operated by buttons, and on bike, with gloves is quite annoying.I think I will send it back. Seems like the best way to choose a cam is to buy 4-5 of them, test them in parallel, choose one and send the others back 😊 Thanks and have nice rides!
Great review! Everything you said about this camera is on point. Getting the cover for the battery off was frustrating for me as well and putting it back in securely.
Why all the reviewers complain about not seeing actual view of the camera (when mounted on the helmet) or have to press OK button and do not know if it turns display On or start recording and that it is uncomfortable in gloves. FFS you can connect camera via WiFi to your mobile phone and see what camera sees, turn different options and there is remote control for your wrist to start/stop recording.
Just got this camera, noticed that when the external mic is plugged it, the internal is still active adding a bunch of wind noise for bike/car videos. Anyone figure out a hack to mute the internal mic? My only thought so far is stuffing the mic with a cotton ball inside the waterproof case so most of the audio is picked up with the external. Kind of dumb it does this.. simple firmware update can add an option to disable the internal mic I'd imagine.
if you put the external microphone on, does the wind been recorded by the internal camera microphone? happen to me! Both microphone are working together and hear the voice from external microphone and wind by the internal camera one
@@myppitches9656 4K is just the amount of pixels on the screen so yeah there is a lot of pixels in 4K on this camera they are not put together and combine that with bad lighting and stability your better off using 1080 and it just looks bad

Hi Will, i already have at 40 km/h so much Wind noise from the internal mic. I am wondering how you could have that clear sound from the external mic. Any Idea?
@ridge Roamer, I did the same. But i have audio recording from both, the external and internal mic. The wind noise is comming from the internal mic, which i cannot turn off. In your video you do not have covered the internal mic. So how reducing it.
@scotish Hills, i have the same problem while moto-vlogging. Unbearable noise coming from the internal mic, even if the external One Is insulated and placed inside the helmet. I think the camera Is defective, It should disabile internal mic ehrn external Is plugged in, am i wrong?
@@robertofabbi4713 Hi, the camera is not defect. I had contact with apeman. Both mic will record. I will now try the underwater case. Drilling a hole for the external mic and additional i will insulate the internal mic best as possible. When i have time to Test, i can later report If it works.
@@scotishhills2856 ho, i wrote to assistance too and received same response. Think if you insulate it will come out a good work, I will return it because with moto-vlogging recording from internal mic is not acceptable (only wind recorded). Thanks
I don't see why not. Should be able to stick the mount on any helmet. Worst case scenario you just offset it a bit where mounting surface may be better

Ty sooooo much I brought this and was kinda confused at 1st til I saw ur video. U really helped me out, so now I’m one of ur subscribers!
Did you buy this? Is it up to the expectation?
The camera was impressive for the price and the audio sounded decent. Not bad at all. Thanks for the review.
Because of this review. I bought this in Amazon just now. Now my set up in motovlogging is complete. Need mic and cheaper price.
I guess it comes with
External mic with the accessories for this cam
Is it upto the expectation?

I was just amazed at how it has a nice video resolution outcome... Watching and support... God bless... Ride strong
This is one of the best quality action camera that I've seen because I've seen other ones and there not really good.

i recomend using the 1080p instead of 4k because it has much better quality

Hi Will, i already have at 40 km/h so much Wind noise from the internal mic. I am wondering how you could have that clear sound from the external mic. Any Idea?
The external mic was run inside my helmet, clipped above the chin spoiler so it was hidden from the wind.

Is there any setting for clear voice? because I am getting very loud noise in Helmet when I used external mic.
Do you know if it can be installed in the chin as you did in a AGV k5 helmet?

Can it handle 64gb sd card? Tia😃
True the battery insert was a bit of a pain in the arse and no dust protection missing, otherwise for that money ok!
How do you charge the batteries?
They include a battery charger in the camera kit
