I had one. It sounded pretty good on flange - if you don't go straight for the weird stuff, and the chorus is nice but dated like all choruses. When it worked it was a pretty cool pedal. What nobody ever points out about the tone-lock series is that they break down a lot.
Got mine for about 12 years ago and I find it quite excellent...the chorus part...don't seem to really have much use for the flanger. Works quite well with my new CloudBurst and other pedals. Have all my knobs at the noonish position....again, wonderful chorus tone.
The sounds I liked most were the ones where you were moving the knobs and creating a sort of PWM chorus/flanger effect; if this pedal had an additional lfo (like ramp on a CBA pedal) and momentary bypass, I can see this being invaluable for short punch-ins beyond what it already does well. Definitely doesn't sound like a CE-2 or BF-2, but I don't think it has to or should; one thing I like about chorus pedals is that no matter how weird or "unusable" they might sound to some, I think there's always a context for them to be interesting. I give this the "Mac DeMarco hurt his hand Back to the Future style, only you can fill in to save the day, but you can only grab one pedal out the door" award.
Just received mine, but do you guys have made the same experience that the sound is thinner in whacked than in normal? Much less bass I mean. Would be interesting to know if that is normal behavior of the pedal.

Yep, it’s perfect for me because when I do want a flanger sound I don’t want it to be super noticeable, so it’s good enough.

Curious why the 'regen'. knob was not changed in the chorus demo and only in the flanger demo??
The regen knob doesn’t effect the chorus setting, only the flanger setting
