      I agree with Zank, as the mutation counter at the bottom of the Tek binoc, only raises by 1 Per mutation even though a new colour is created at the same time as a new stat mutation occuring

    So basically you can get mutations at random (obviously) like in ASE but now transfer that ex. HP mutation to a completely different HP stat line instead of it being locked down? It seems like that which means the lines are going to be even more insane than the last game lol. Because if you get an hp mutation on a shit 0/0 breeder, you can still move it and combine it with the good dino stat.

    Have you found any 2 of the same dinos with different stats with the same point level?
    Inb4 people disbelieve in that, I have 2 screenshots from the official server (Xbox Official Server) of 2 TAMED dinos at level 1 (they were tamed on a (Xbox Official Beginner server) for cleaning stats with 0 mutations and both had different stats at level 1.

    • @whitehack2474

      This is because they were tamed with different %efficience. If that 2 tamed dinos are male and female and you breed them every single time you get 0 mutations the offsprings with have the same exact value in the stats which in fact will be equal or slighly higher to the parent with greater %eff.

    I dont bother with ark taming because 1. I am in a mega tribe and you need to be a freaking expert breeder to be allowed to breed 2. I dont understand how breeding and mutations and getting the stats you want on something works. I often hear the guys cheering about taming and getting a dino with very high melee or health or weight , but no clue why they are so excited about it. So I don't breed or tame and I try to avoid touching any Dino's that have a name related to a stat because I assume they want to use it for breeding somehow.

    Just to get it right:
    Lets say i got a lvl 5 female stego (with lower base health) and a male stego (with 50 points into health). Im muta breeding them until i got like 5 health mutas. So i got 60 points now. How does this new breeding mechanics change something? Cause i always got my low females which dont have a better health stat than the male. Even when i got the muta on a female, i need to get it on a male to keep breeding.
    If i got a 80 health points stego from a raid (lets say with 15 health mutas) and im breeding the 80 points stego with my 60 points stego line (with 5 mutas into heath) do i get the combined mutas in one? so in Total 90 points and 20 health mutas? or do i get either way the 80 or 60 points?
    THANKS

    • @dreadcthulhu6842
      @dreadcthulhu6842 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically the base levels and the levels from mutations are now separate things. So in your first example after 5 mutations you do not have a stego with 60 pts of health, you have a stego with 50 base health points & 10 mutation health points. From your second example, the captured stego would be 50 base health, and 30 mutation health. So at best you could get from mating that is the 50 base health, and 30 mutation health. Now lets say you tame another stego, that has 55 base health, but no mutations yet. You could mate it with the 50 base & 30 mutation stego you captured prior, and get a 55 base & 30 mutation stego.

  • @Louis-np1os
    @Louis-np1os ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So simply out, that if a creature has a higher base statistic that if mated with a creature that mutations that it would be retroactive. An example would be that you have a base point of 50 points (no muts )but if you received (trade or raid) a creature that 20 mutations but the base points was 38. As a result, you would have 70 points in total (50 base + 20 muts)
    Likewise if you somehow kept your base until Gen 2 or tamed a higher desired stat then applied mutagen, it would retrograde into the line

    @LowlyEidolon ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Your reasoning why a mutation is 2 points is wrong
    Your explanation is true but that's not the reason that a mutation shows up as 2 with the Tek binoc's
    It's because mutations raise a stat by 2 points. This was a develowmt choice. And is not because a colour is tied to a stat
    As it is possible to pass a state mutation to an offspring without passing the colour mutation over

      In ase, it was possible to get mutations in colour regions that were not visible, and this was not viewable until near the end and cryopods got a.coloir region update.
      With the Tek binoc's in ASA you should be able to see all 6 colour regions at the bottom of the info display screen which 'should' update. And display if a mutation colour happens in a non visible region.
      That's assuming that colour mutations can still be gained on non visible regions,
