Good guest. Good questions. Good answers. Good audio. This is all I want from a show like this and you've delivered. Looking forward to the next one.

Very nice interview! Will check out ACKS 2e for sure, great questions.
But now I'm tempted to throw my name in the bag as a guest. :D

The comment regarding never fudging dice rolls is one i agree wholeheartedly with. As a GM all of my rolls are made in the open and this has a real impact on players behaviour. In other games I have played in where GM rolls are made in secret the sense of danger, and following from that immersion, is much less. The players in my game are aware there is no GM Safety Net which will prevent a catastrophic consequence from a die roll. They know that their choices are meaningful - if I start that fight I could get killed, do I really want to risk that?

As an outsider it sounds very odd when there are titles like "The BrOSR" which are called that for sticking too closely to the original OSR, and then the "good guys" who have some standards for what you can and can't break and still remain OSR.
Just... something about it feels very christian off-shoots going "No, you read the book wrong"

Its more like there's one group of people who want to take control of original D&D and their own weird interpretation of it, and don't want any other RPGs to exist, while there's another group of people who love early D&D but also want to make all kinds of interesting variants with it.

@@RPGPundit But then there are groups who claim to be OSR but are not because they made the variants too different?
      Sorry for the confusion.

Is the swords & archery under the form of sport/martial art and not "cosplay"? If so I can accept that one.

Bottleshigiri, fencing (prefer sabre), & staff from cane to 7+ feet, battle ax, all axes, knife fighting like Jandar of Callisto & in the barrio I grew up in next to the AZ temple. Mantis, northern.
