    I recommend doing the Pixel Refresh when the tv ask's you to do it. It prevents burn in. I also recommend turning on Logo Brightness to medium or Low so the logo won't burn in. These features protect your tv and investment.

      Don't recall at the moment (not at home). I set it to automatic since the first time I did a manual cleaning and haven't seen another message. Perhaps it hasn't decided a need to or at least it hasn't told me. Honestly I don't know if it cleane every time the TV is shut off or at certain hours-of-use intervals.

    Love the way my LG C3 does the automatic pixel refreshes without ever annoying me with notifications during normal daily use. I've only ever seen one notification since 2019 when I got my first OLED TV and that was when my old LG B9 had to run the 2,000 hour longer one hour pixel refresh after I'd owned it for 18 months.
    This is in complete contrast to my 27" Alienware QD-OLED monitor where it seems to run the pixel refresher every time the screen saver comes on, which is after 2 minutes of non-PC use. When I try to use my PC it then pops up an annoying window asking me if I want to interrupt it or let it continue that requires me to have to use the monitor joystick to close.
    I wish the experience was more seamless like my LG C3 TV.

    On older models the manual pixel clean was 1 hour long. Now it says 10 minutes. Either they shrunk it up to that amount or we just cannot do the long refresh manually anymore. And I think there is a difference between “quick check” and “start”. I wish you would’ve addressed that too, maybe in a next video. Another thing, not sure if correct, but with the newer models the long refresh could happen at 500 hours, not at 2000…or depends by the usage. Appreciate your work, there’s not many channels covering this subject!

    I am retired. Would you recommend I buy an OLED TV or move to LED if I have it on 10 hours a day watching, TV shows, news channels, movies and streaming Netflix. The static news channels would be on approximately 2-3 hours each day. I am concerned about image retention and how long the TV will last. Paul, can you confirm the pixel refresh on the C3 is automatic? I have a C3 refurb that I got from Curry's and there was no manual. I've run the refresh manually a couple of times since early April, but if it's doing it automatically after every 4 hrs of use when I turn the TV off, I can forget about having to do it.

    • @RustyDarkStone
      @RustyDarkStone 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You do not need to be running manual pixel cleans of the TV, the TV will let you know when it needs to be done and the TV does it after every four hours of use when it is turned on standby, doing manual refreshes like that since April is excessive and could cause you more issues

    Does anyone know if Quick Start+ being set to Off prevents the automatic 4-hour pixel refresh from running? The description LG provides - "a feature that switches the TV to standby mode when it's turned off". Does that mean when it's not On the TV doesn't go to standby mode, but instead shuts down completely and therefore doesn't pixel refresh?

      This message should pop up on the C3 after around 500 hours of use, I believe.
