Hey brother as a Margie camp coach and an accomplished Finisher I enjoyed your video and I felt every minute of your pain. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope to coach you for a 100 mile finish
I did the 50 this year as well! First marji, and first ride in the UP area. Absolutely demolished me, but I finished just over 12 hours. The rain around 5PM hit me somewhere around Flannel shirt trail I believe, and the demoralizing climbs on crybaby absolutely killed my spirit. I missed the turn onto Jasper Knob at the end, but managed to correct myself, and got the final nickel. Im already signed up for next year, and I can't wait to hurt even worse.
Good luck! I was on course about 15.5 hours. I carried 4 or 5 bottles, which I could refill at Jackson Park. There are also plenty of people offering drinks (water, electrolytes, Coke, etc.) on course to supplement. On top of that, I stashed 4 bottles in my drop bag to ensure I had water going the last segment of Epic. Definitely more prepared than I needed to be.
We were ready and willing to punch that rock for you. Nice video ! It was fun riding with you.
Great edit bud! Congrats on the finish. RAMBA sure looks different in the day light
Nice video! Remember seeing you out there and getting some of your ducky support!
I remember you squeaking the duck for me as I passed by. Great video!
Awesome effort dude ! That was a tuff race ! Great video
The split picture/in picture views are fun. Great encapsulation.

Go get it! I'm taking a year off, but I'll still be on course with aid.
Congrats on a great race !
Great video. I just secured my first time registration for the 50 in 2023. What was your total ride time and what was your water strategy?

13.5hrs in 2022, 9.5 in 2023. Now, TBD for 2024 on the 100 after these 2 somewhat successful 50s.
Good luck! I'll be lining up for the duathlon. See ya at Forestville!
