Well, bad news... Packaging was sub par at best and fam did not care for the first meal I made, which was the Chinese BBQ Chicken. We'll finish this first box and then make a decision.
My box did not look like this. There was no information on the inside of the box, there was no foam liner, just a construction paper like liner that got all soggy from being in with the ice packs on transit. That aside, my first meal was zucchini meatballs and they were not bad.
Ah I'm sorry to hear that they didn't put in the info or foam liner :(. Definitely let them know so that never happens again. I'm glad to hear the meal wasn't bad though!
i know this is a really late reply, but I just started it and it does give nutrition info on every recipe and you can change your taste profile to fit what you like and you can handpick every meal that gets sent. you can even double up on the same recipe if you don't have very many you like in a given week
This looks like cheap simple food. I could just get the ingredients and make that myself. The reason I do meal kits is that I want to try recipes I wouldn't have thought of myself. Different strokes for different folks though.
It's definitely simple recipes, which is what makes it inexpensive :). Dinnerly is one of the few meal kits that does cheaper meals and it's good for people who aren't looking to spend too much time cooking complex meals.
So, considering most grocery stores offer a pickup option, you're essentially paying Dinnerly to select your ingredients, select your portion size, and then have you make the food yourself? So the time to go to the grocery store to do pickup is all you're paying them for?
The meal planning is also a big help, as well as the time grocery shopping, even online. I can select which boxes I want much quicker than selecting individual items from a recipe from a grocery store in person or online. I often run out of ideas on what to cook or don't have certain ingredients, these meal services take the thought out of that.

The order was changed without our knowledge. Emails weresent from Dinnerly with a subject line saying "Get excited for next weeks recipes! Choose your next tasty dinners." Since we had already chosen the meals, there was no reason to pay attention to the emails. Even if you did click on the emails, it just shows please click here to update your box, NO CLEAR STATEMENT THAT WE CHANGED YOUR ORDER TO OUR CHEFS SELECTION FOR YOU. Finally the 1st email came on the 5th and by the 6th Dinnerly had already processed the order. Called them and they said so sorry, but cut-off date has passed and your credit card has been charged. They told me they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. We cancelled all future orders, and will contact our credit card company to dispute. Don't go with them, just not worth it. Also, in order for Dinnerly to keep cost down they do not print recipe cards, you have to go online for them, also you must have extra supplies at home to complete meal. So it can be complicated to make everything, you can just as easily go to the grocery and find your own recipes online.
Once you've started your subscription you can view/edit your upcoming orders in your admin account area. This allows you to swap out recipes you might not want.

Dinnerly is great :). They're one of the most affordable meal kits around. They're also made by the same folks who do Marley Spoon.

I make chorizo quesadillas at my house pretty often. I add black beans and corn. I dont think broccoli and chorizo go together but it does sound fast.

What you can do is mince the broccoli and It easily fuses with any thing you add to it. Been doing that for years.

Does it give you nutrition information for the recipes? Also can you choose what type of recipes your receive?
