.......as long as you and your family are safe.....the rest will be fine!.....wind and rain are blessings to most orchids.....I bet you see a big burst of growth after this,.....Mix up some nutrients and spray them during a rain break......they will love you for it.

Great video - looks like the babies are doing great! I have talked with a few people who lost quite a few orchids to black rot, because of the rain - they did not spray before or after. I found another mature plant in my collection today that had it pretty bad. Your plants do look pretty good.
Thanks John! I sprayed before but I did find a few with some questionable black marks. I was just editing the video. LOL. My first feeling was almost to just dump the whole thing and run to RFs for replacements. LOL. BTW the seedlings are doing really good I think. I'll included them in a future update. You'll be proud of me. :)
😮ome...super 😨 scary. We have the sane here. We just keep an eye on the river. The last time our back yard got washed away hence the new Gabion structure. Gosh I hope it let's up so the potted orchids can dry🙏 stay safe
Oh wow! It’s funny! We all asked for rain and now we’re like “make it stop! “ lol
We’ve just entered winter here. This week will be 7deg C.night & 20 deg C day on some days. This is when I get anxious about my warm loving orchids. Some hybrids are o.k. but last year a couple rotted! There are a few I bring inside every afternoon & take back out into the shade house in the sunny mornings. It’s a nerve wracking time!!

The orchids are getting a good flush. We don't want too much of a good thing though.
I just took mine ,all 6 to the sink.

I feel your pain: I had to move ALL my potted ones on the covered part of my lanai😩. The hanging ones and the mounted ones were very happy; the potted ones, too soggy for their taste😍

We are going through a real dry spell over on the North East of Florida ugh no rain here! May was dry and June doing the same 🙏🙏🙏 for some of that rain here. I hear Miami is under water ugh stay safe Melissa continue the updates
Yup a lot if Miami is getting flooded. Many people have lost cars on the road. It’s not that bad for me but it’s a lot of constant rain. 🌧️
NE FL is so dry! I have no worries that we’ll start to get the daily afternoon rains soon enough…
on days like this with humidity high the plants in your terrace you water less or not at all, correct?
In the terrace if they are not getting wet with the rain, then I just do it when they feel dry. Sometimes I put a skewer and then pull it out to check the moisture. But usually these days it’s every other day no matter what.
