    This is the new style of format i'm gonna use for my videos. Less music, less text,more pictures and more talking to explain what is going on in the videos. Also I'm doing videos of my projects so i'm not rushed to complete other peoples projects or solve problems for other people in my videos. Unless something comes up that I wanna work on!!! The whole goal is to start buying and restoring and selling bikes here.
    I hit my goal of 500 subs finally for 2019 which blows my mind. I wanna take it farther and shoot for at least 1000 by the end of the year. Im considering a 500 sub giveaway but this channel doesnt get comments as the channel is more of a informational fixing type channel when your in need of repairs. Im considering giving away like 10 amsoil Preferred customer for a year to people that buy amsoil.

      Im gonna do the battery cable upgrade and relay etcc upgrade before i do the wiring mod. We will see if that fixes my problem. These bikes are getting old and i think the woring mod is more of a way around not replacing possible worn out parts. Check the other videos out in my playlist alot of mille stuff.

    3.7l without new filter and 3.9l with oil filter change is what the manual states. But those amounts often lead to overfilling. Only way to properly check the level is once the bike is at full operating temp and the fans have cycled. Then check the tube immediatly upon shutting the bike off as oil drains from the tank quickly. Thats your true oil level. Usually best to pour in 3 liters, run for a minute then add another half liter totaling 3.5l or 3.7quarts. From there take it for a ride to get the bike fully warmed up and check level and add more if needed. Apworkshops has a good video on this and also a great write up on the af1 forums.
    And this bike seems to have quite a bit of valve train noise. They do tend to be a little noisier and maybe its just the video making it seem that loud. I own a 2010 tuono 1000r myself and about to do an oil change once the stuff is shipped. I run motul 5100 15w-50 as the manual calls for a semi-synthetic. But many like to run the 7100 and 300v as well. Havnt tried amsoil in mine yet.

      Cool paco glad your watching the vid. All these first gens make noise. As for Apworkshops if you can don't mention them here. There very liberal over there in the uk and removed me years ago from there facebook. Griff knows his stuff but these guys arent doing anything special on there channel and i would never order parts from them if your in the usa. They have gone threw a few names over there the last couple years i think it has to do with money and business during covid.They down punched me years ago when i started on youtube when i had less than 100subs on my channel. These first gen aprilia are my favorite bikes and as you can see in my vids im more well rounded than just aprilia related. There kinda dicks over there about there aprilia's.

    I agree. Love the style of Ducati, and the performance, but the Desmo service is more involved than the Moto Guzzi I currently have. The Italian manufacturers sure have an eye for beauty, and detail.

    Love the video's on the mille, seriously considering one atm because i am working on my old fzr1000 exup and it will be off the road for most of the year while i learn 😂😂. They have come down to a reasonable price for me, possibly bottoming out and ready to start back the other way. What would you say are the main areas of concern to look for on the 98-2003 series as it is the best looking for me?
    Regards, Eric

    • @TorrentPerformance
      @TorrentPerformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say main concerns are service records, battery cables, battery charging issues relay related issues, fuel pump failure on pre 2001 models, fuel pump wiring harness issues , and that's really it. These engines are known to be extrely reliable. What may be broke or need replaced on these are gonna be common because of there age. My r model I just finished may be up for sale due to a housing crisis. Shoot me a email if interested.

    Hey mate, I just did the oil on my gen 1 rsv mille. I didn't get a new seal with my oil filter and it now drips from the housing. I removed the sump, and oil filter. I did take the hose off the tank that u said didn't matter but I left the little bolt that you said cracks alone......I put 3.9 Litres back in. Is it possible I've over filled it or do I just need that o ring? Struggling to find one unfortunately

    • @TorrentPerformance

      Don't buy the $40 Chinese one. I bought it and it doesn't work properly. Stick with big brand think heli would be best option. It will piggy back on your speedo sensor cable and pickup coil wires.

      Manaul does state 15w50 also if you live in a colder climate 10w40 can be used. I run 20w50 in hot summer. I would stick with 15w50 for this engine. Thanks for the comment.

      I've never seen any metal shavings in my oil filters. So I don't remove the screen Into the bottom oil tank. I consider it overkill for a oil change unless you see a issue visually. Most people don't have the clip tool to reclip the clamp on.
