Y'all gettin' upset about this move because Damon and Jo won't live in the same country are driving me craaazy. I've been here since the NYC Black Friday video (aka one of very first ones) and throughout these past six years or so it's been rare that both Damon and Jo have been in the same country at the exact same time. Of course they're still going to be making content together every once in a while, just like they always have been. You cannot expect them to both stay in the same place just for the sake of being in a video together when this whole channel is based on traveling, doing you, and living your best free life. Plus, they can still technically do videos together. "$20 in LA vs. Paris", anyone? They're clearly still great friends, but they're also both living their own life. Jo has Brazindians and Not Your Average Jo and Damon is living his Parisian fantasy. Like.... chill. For real. Y'all complaining all the time now probably isn't making this as fun for them.

To clear out space, and decide what to keep and what to give away is the biggest emotional rollercoaster ever. Last time it took weeks to recover
Take pictures of the things you get rid of and save them on a hard disk. You still have the memory and it saves space as opposed to the physical thing.
This hits different after watching Damon’s press conference about their breakup

I don't see this as sad. I find this video really awesome because it shows that they are growing. They are doing what works for themselves individually. I'm sure they will upload just as much. Not always together all the time, but I'm sure the content will be just as amazing. They travel a lot. I'm not worried lol.

It's so much easier when you have parents who are in one place. There's 'memento' stuff I wish I could keep- like your TH-cam plaque- but I don't have a parental home so if I want everything to fit in 2 suitcases (which will be the case soon) I can't keep heavy, bulky things like that at the expense of items I will actually use. It hurts to get rid of stuff at that point- things you actually want. God, I wish I could just 'leave them at my parents place' and know they'll be there for me when I settle down and live somewhere long term.

TH-cam is so weird. Half the time I think I know exactly what y'all want and the other half I'm like...nah they already saw that video. It has changed a lil bit! If I run out of ideas in the next few months, it's all yours! For the most part, I use La Roche Posay (after a French dermatologist recommended to only use it...not sure if she was paid off by La Roche Posay, but in any case, my skin is poppin' lately).

I'm not sure. Let me think about it...
I had a really terrible boss once who, within ten minutes of meeting him and being offered the job, he said "I'll give you one minute to decide if you want this job or not." I was like, damn, do I not even get time to reflect? He said urgency was the best way to know if you really want something or not.
I took the job (and hated it), but I still remember him (as an evil man) and his "lessons" that I think are pretty valid for a lot of the time. If you give yourself a minute - and nothing more - to make the decision, and then commit to it, I think you'll be more at peace than constantly weighing every decision forever.
Is libra and indecisiveness a real thing?? P.S I'm a libra and would love to have something to blame for my lack of ability to make the smallest decision 😂😅

This was super relatable and a tad triggering. I've been through that exact process - sold what I could, donated the rest, and stored a few priceless items at my sister's house. Expated myself to the other side of the world and haven't been back for 6 years. Getting rid of everything I owned was a rough process, but I'm so glad I did it. I don't miss any of that old junk.

When you did the storage unit move-in video, my comment was that it wasn't gonna be for a short while...and that you would be paying through the nose...because storage units drag on and on and on. I ain't being superior. I calculated how much my storage unit cost me...and it came out to 10K dollars. I had my rationalizations: My 2 bedroom apartment in LA fell through last minute and I had to make do with a 1 bedroom duplex. So, I thought I could use some of the savings on a second room to store my junk from my old place. But nah, I should have sold, donated, given everything away and pocketed the money. Only reason I finally got rid of the storage unit was I bought a house...but I could have used the 10K to cover my closing costs on the new digs!
Hack: the sentimental youtube stuff and pretty much anything you can't let go of, give to your parents. This is good especially if they still have your room and like having your things to look at.

I wish I could downsize as much as damon. I need most of my stuff for hobbies, work, and school. I have downsized as much as I can without getting rid of the things I actually use.
Okay so for the fan mail, buy one of those scanners and scan them all onto your laptops/external hard drives/upload to Google Drive (but also not Google Drive cause they wouldn't understand privacy if the word sued them) and then you can give one of your parents said scanner, unless you can use it. Then you can let the physical pieces go without giving up the good feelings and the ability to look back on them :) Hopefully you didn't throw them away already >.
