Thank you. I first took B1 for horrid nightmares and anxiety [Dr berg].
I watched you and your information on '' induced nutritional deficiency from
    commonly prescribed medications''.
Weened myself of benzo and another med under my supervision 😉as it was a light
dose ...... and by watching eonutrition on the dose.
I now take around 1500 mg daily of the weaker type but feel 100 % better.
No more brain zaps .... anxiety etc. (also low carb )
Thank you Dr Peter for your help .... 🥰

Don't take B1 without taking B Complex with it.
Take all the B vitamins, not just some.
    Thats important .

Didn't know b1 was required to make acetylcholine. That's explains a lot since my fav class of nootropic stimulants for my ADHD are those that boost acetylcholine. It works so well for me, not completely, but really well.

Low vitamin b1 makes it difficult for the body to absorb other vitamins!! Benfotiamine 600-1200 mg daily! My heart started beating do much better after just 4-5 days taking only 600 mg benfotiamine. I will also order thiamax cause that one goes through the blood brain barrior.

@ainahaga I agree. He does take a Natural B complex in the morning and then Benfotiamine in the afternoon. I believe it’s 600mg. But he just started taking them so we will hope for improvement soon. His heart doctor didn’t do or prescribe anything.

Most vitamin B1 supplemets only have 100mg, how many of these would we have to take to, at least get the minimum daily amount?

What do you do if it is a malabsorption problem...low in copper, ferritin, high b12 (always), likely paradoxical, no detectable molybdenum, iodine and selenium in normal range, low in b1..doesn't matter how much food I eat loaded w nutrients...body won't absorb...generally speaking...what should ppl like me do? Is ngs a good idea?...next generation seq to look for bacteria, virii, fungi, and parasitic infections?

      @xmyxymx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

I would first make sure you actually digesting foods properly, have good stomach acid, and good gut health. Investigate if any doctors medications you take cause the problem (not the supplements). Check your stool what comes out of you will give you clues. It has to be a smooth thoroughly digested mass in a sausage shape. If you see bits and pieces of undigested food, if it’s porridge like or more liquid, if it’s hard bits or balls - well that’s your answer.
Hi in b12 - depending how high is high. High b12 could be false and indication of infection. Meaning b12 is not actually high and could be low but on the test it will look like it’s high. If you’re supplementing with iron copper etc. then check the forms of these supplements, some supplements are so bad they don’t get absorbed at all. If you’re just trying to correct deficiencies with food then good luck with that, today’s food doesn’t have good levels of nutrients to be able to bring levels up.

Since I took Metronidazole 5 years ago, I started to have awful, debilitating, extremely severe symptoms in my whole body. It took time to find functional doctor here in Belgium. Now, I have a 2.5 years old son I still breastfeed and I have mood swing, severe bloating, oesophagian spasms, anxiety, extreme fatigue, different kind of pain and I feel like living is a real trail.
I know I have Candida, Sibo and IBS and a many deficiencies (better than before now). The problem is when I take VIT B1, I get SEVERE anxiety with tachycardia with the impression my body is dying. How can I deal with this? Can I take nutritional yeast instead ? It would be amazing to make a video on side effects and how to manage them. Thank you.

It’s a paradox reaction, it worsens the symptoms initially. The first week or so but symptoms seem to disappear after a while. Also the form matters. Benfotiamine seems to be a good option as compared to Thiamine hydrochloride.
      1. You need to take it with other forms of B vitamins because it may their cause diffidencies.
      2. You might have to take it with magnesium
