I’m Amazed they managed to have such an impressive score while using so many real songs too, and there are a lot in the show. Usually some movies and shows that have a ton of licensed/real songs they can kinda overshadow a score, but isn’t the case here, love the brotherhood score as the prydwen arrives
Well John is at the helm, and if the score of West•World (the show, which I still think is cannon but that’s another comment) is anything to go by then yeah can’t wait for season two in general.
Eh, the score isn't bad, but it's not as memorable or iconic as Westworld and GOT, or even Person of Interest's theme. So I would say the soundtrack was kinda better and overshadowed the original score a bit.
@@occono3543 Yeah that too. I'd also imagine it's really hard coming up with a catchy and iconic theme every time, and just because he did it once it means he can do it for every show and movie he works on. His Westworld was creative too, he would take these famous rock or pop songs and make a cover of them in the style of Westworld and it worked so well. I kinda wish he did that again with other shows.
Too bad they sucked in the show. But, I agree, the song deserves a better representation of the brotherhood of steel. Less goofball, derpy, and wimpy, and Cucky, and libtardy
@@RashedHiyasat Yeah agreed there, I think that the branch from Boston would have wiped the floor with them, I'd even bet the DC branch would smoke those guys
Know what I like about this music? It reminds me of the ambient tracks from the early Fallout games in the nineties. It's also unmistakably Ramin Djawadi's work, but I can see the influence the old games had on it. It really takes me back.
There a quite a few gems on this score. All the Answers fucking slaps. I can feel the dread starting to bubble and then explodes intensely in the end. Great stuff.
Ice Cream and Apple Pie 12:08 is one of my most favorite tracks from the album. I can listen to it on repeat and its filmed sequence was also done very well.
@@illidank996 It's actually in the first episode itself in its entirety. It scores the entire sequence for Lucy getting ready for the wedding/trade right up to them leaving to meet with Vault 32. I think it perfectly captures the 'sunshine and daisies' kind of atmosphere of Lucy's vault perfectly, as well as her view of it. The score does return at some point later on for a briefer sequence but I'd have to rewatch the show to remember where I picked up on that...and I will.
@@shoazdon7000 Nope, it doesn't play anywhere near that scene, although they do talk about Ice Cream and Apple Pie. Coop gets the ghoul talking about his mom's apple pie before he shoots him.
"Are you compromised?" reminds me of the original Mark Morgan OST with tracks such as "Underground Troubles" or "The Vault of the Future". Little details like this made me so happy when watching the show.
I love "Surface Dweller Tradition" so much! Best track in the score. I love the contrasting harmonies in the violins, how it sometimes drifts apart harmonically, sometimes chordant and pretty, lulling you into a false sense of security, before the semitone seconds come in and break everything up.
Am I the only one here who misses the scores of E6 00:36:55 and E7 00:01:24 - 00:02:30? Because this is Fallout! The score in E6 in particular gave me goosebumps; That was the Fallout moment of the series for me.
Ramin Djawadi - one of the finest movie and TV score composers alive today! And I'm right there with everyone saying it sounds just like the instrumental music from the original games. I would not be at all surprised if he consulted with Inon Zur, composer of the Fallout 3 and 4 soundtracks, or at least made a close study of his work. It's what I would have done.
Was such a good ominous track, also looking for it. Can hear a short bit of it as part of the beginning of "Are You Compromised" as I think Norm sneaking into vault 31.
My favorite one is golden rule, but the version i heard in the series wasn't the same at all, and imo way better. It was a remixed version, in the scene where Lucy looks at the weapons in Ma Junes store and then confronts the Ghoul for the first time in episode 2. Sucks i cant find it anywhere i get goosebumps everytime i hear it 😔
This is a soundtrack for the Ramin Dwajadi score. I'm guessing they didn't want to include any reused Inon Zur or Mark Morgan tracks in the show and have to pay them album royalties
Where is the synth music part where Hank kills the raider attacking Lucy then runs to the vault door? I can't find it, unless I've missed it. It's my favourite bit of music from the whole show, along with the opening soundtrack for the bombs dropping (which also isn't here). One of my chief complaints about the show was the atmosphere soundtrack, it really just didnt rise to the occasion - honestly im surprised about all the praise its getting from the comments section, its not 'bad' but in most cases its so forgettable its actually a shame. I think they felt that having worked on westworld with them they wanted someone they were familiar with, but I think it was a terrible choice not to get Inon Zur (or even mark morgan who worked on the first and second fallout games, whos tracks are repurposed in fallout 3 and new vegas heavily) for this project.
Anyone have a link for the music que used at the end of episode 1 during the "this season on fallout" montage Really liked that foreboding score but can't find it on the soundtrack. It's like 30 seconds or something
Where’s the part from the scene where maximus is walking to the main vault atrium to rescue Lucy? It sounds like the T-60 track but far more interesting.
Ramin Djawadi? Why not Mark Morgan? His soundtrack to Fallout and Fallout 2 is immortal post-nuclear beauty. P.S.: but sounds nice, I would buy it on vinyl
I really like this. I remember when fallout 3 came out and Inon Zur took over, I disliked the score so much compared to F1 and F2. It was suddenly orchestral mixed with random non-rythmic junk grinding against each other. This feels like more of a mix of the old and new. Reminds me a bit of Wasteland game score.
Someone should have payed Ramin more to do the soundtrack. I can't shake the idea that this must have been a side project for him. What a disappointment this is. To think that this is the same author of great soundtracks, like the GoT series and Westworld.
