Cesar replaced J None as baritone. He sings both baritone and tenor depending on the song. Just like Eli does. And J None as well. Earls tenor position has not been replaced. So yes. 4 baritones
I love Eli's character voices he does so well. They always make whatever song they do as their own and better. You know that Geoff, Eli, and Layne were at the mercy of J.and Cesar's antics during this production.
Yeah. They don't need much introduction at this point. This was so perfect for J's voice. It was so him. The bone in Layne's nose and his off the chain percussion! Eli's character accents and Cesar's smooth voice all holding it together. Geoff as a bass guitar with a bank of sub woofers--holy beat drop!! Layne co-owns PattyCake Productions with Tony Walkim, another former member, and they make their own "label" of musical videos in addition to working with the VoicePlay group. The two of them write music, lyrics and dialogue plus all the production. They do hire other actors for short episodic videos like Disney Villain's Lair and Princess Academy. They do one called Bump in the Night for Halloween and it's awesome. So worth checking out their channel.
I'm gonna start calling that the VoicePlay Toss- that awkward, kinda takes two attempts, discarding of headphones. It's a special show of appreciation to a spectacular band. Maybe you can trademark that. 😆 So much fun to have J None back! I had been wondering how he and Cesar would sound together, and darned if VoicePlay didn't deliver! Yeah, I'm with you- J. None is a VoicePlay member for life, in my heart. Of course, everyone sounded amazing (as always); maybe we'll get lucky and J will feature on a few more before he's pulled away to do Navy things.
3:48 the million dollar man look when Dennis hears Geoff sing that dragon growl 😂 and again the anticipation than reaction look 4:00-4:02 😭😭😂 again lol 5:20-5:29 😂😂
They just knocked it out of the park, and J. was awesome. it was nice to see him again...but as always...everybody excelled in this one. Yep..Thanks to Layne for the arrangement....damn
Another of my all-time favorites. J None bought it, brought it and killed it. I hope he comes back our of the Navy and comes back. He has so many sides that he can present, from Man in the Mirror to Superestition (rap) to this. What an asset.
Way to jump on the new release, Dennis! And it’s so good, too! And I agree with you, J is still part of Voiceplay! But how fantastic to have him back with the group!
As always, you just have to love the effort they put into the videos. And J.None 😍 agree with you, Dennis. All the Voiceplays members and features have a great range and fits into the song they make. Sooo much talent right there. 😍❤
Like I've said on a couple of their other videos... They need to say inspired by, not cover. Because by the time they've got done with the song it's not the same song. In the film this is a Disney villains song. Basically imagine any standard Disney film villains song. They are still pretty good but it starts and you know we're playing the villain. But it's always playing the villain. When voiceplay collects a villains song it becomes a villains song. It's not somebody playing a villain. It is a villain and you know it. The first song I came across of Voiceplay was oogie boogie's song. I've never heard it before so after I watched their copy a couple times I went and saw what the movie villain looked like. The movie villain was bad but not evil. Evil is knowing that you're evil and not caring. When Geoff sings a villain you realize how villainous this villain could have been. I keep hoping for the day that they do Gaston's song. Because after you play that one you will understand why every villager adored him. And most of us will be of the opinion that Belle was an idiot.
Jonathan Young does a similar thing to Disney villain songs - he gives them this 'edge' that the originals often seemed to lack. Sometimes it's madness ("Be Prepared"), sometimes it's despair ("Hellfire"), or rage ("Oogie Boogie's Song"), or betrayal ("The Plagues") or something else... but it very much makes the song his own. He and Caleb Hyles did "Gaston", and it really makes the song full of exaggerations that are meant to cheer himself up after getting dumped. I actually really like to listen to the three versions of Oogie Boogie - the original (standard Disney-esque villain, played straight), Jonathan Young's (furious that *this* is the touted Santa Claus) and Voiceplay's (Equal parts smug and playfully malicious) just to see how the same tune and the same lyrics can feel so different.
yay, i am so excited for this,... YOu NEED to go see it!!! damn man... GO See it!So let me poison your brain.. Western, outlaws, duelling guitar vs fiddle... Lindsey stirling is the artist and Roundtable Rhapsody is the song....
Geoff just walked into the studio and said "Guys, I'm feeling like an earthquake today."
I was playing this on my TV and I'm not going to lie... the floor was vibrating
@@PhoenixShin my bath tub was moving and I knew Geoff was bellowing in the background 😲😲😲
Tony was also helping out on the shoot. It was amazing to have three ‘generations’ of VP baritones all there together.
Four even! Since Layne was VP's first baritone
@@Kamarovsky_KCM who’s the fourth? Cesar isn’t a baritone
@@samthibert6527 He is. Or at least his role in Voiceplay is as a baritone.

The pink eyes in the skull at the end is so freaking spooky, I love it!

What a great Halloween entry for this year. Their arrangements are just amazing. So nice to hear and see J None again. Thanks for your reaction
4:00 - Just so you know, that slide is Geoff's lowest countable chest note, it's an F1!!
I think his lowest chest note is E1 is from their video cheerleader

They absolutely killed this song. The arrangement is epic and the arranger is a musical genius.

J killed it!!! My eardrums were vibrating so much on the techno section of Geoff and Layne...haha.

Do you realize Layne and Tony Wakim have their own channel. They are the owners and producers of Pattycake Productions. Their stuff is awesome
Geoff with that bass beat drop is SIIIIIICK. Sheesh. 😳
J.None singing as Dr. Facilier is amazing.
4:02 What a feckin place to pause at lol seeing J-None's face got me a laugh there.
I absolutely love their Halloween stuff!! Great reaction, this arrangement was perfect. Loved seeing J again too. ❤
J. None seems to be Baron Samedi - or voodoo practitioner who follows Samedi. What a GREAT arrangement and J did an AMAZING job.
That’s the character that Geoff played in the Queen video!
A new favorite.
I have been waiting for this!!!

I wasn’t familiar with the original either…but come on!!! Voice Play continues to bring it!!🤩‼️
You really should see the original from the Disney film. I think you will understand and appreciate even more, the song, the visuals, etc.
Love your reactions and the way you love music so much Dennis thank you 👌👍
Oh my! JNone is perfect for this song!! They did such an amazing job! 🤯🔥🎃💗👻👀💖
I can't wait for the BTS!!!
Deadgrl Superstar said same thing at same time....about forgetting it was Acapella........lol
knew you would love it
Totally Awesome!!!
Love this
You should watch this song from the actual movie. J Has alot of the shadowman's mannerism's that are in the movie.
J-none came back well for a little while with them
They just keep dropping epic bombs💣🧨 Peter Hollens & Friends also just dropped This is Halloween today which is another must for the season.
Your reaction is awesome
thats what i call hazing ;)
I'd love to see a reaction to an amazing British artist - Lucy Spraggan, and her song 'Sober' is a wonderful song 🎵
Hooray! I’ve been waiting for one of my favorite reactors to react! You win the race!
They killed hei-hei why he was such a young chicken 🐔
Geoff Monster Mash
It would have been cool if they “changed” Cesar out with a frog and Eli with Cesar.
Great cover. I love the Peter Hollens cover as well.
I wonder what the fam will think of this one.
This is the only cover of this song I've actually liked
Please react to Jacob Collier's 'With the Love in my Heart'? 😁
I didnt see Princess and the Frog until last year. I just like this song, not a fan of the movie. Its done well, just not my thing.
I'll save you the time. VP version is way better. No Geoff in movie
