    This video is about CMYK palette. The colors that are used here are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (denoted as Key). The combination is popular and used in modern printing industry extensively. Black is used to darken the colors. These colors are known as true primaries.
    A diagram in the video shows that a bright blue, green and red are possible to create. However, in the world of pigments the mixes turn out slightly different. While, the green and violets appear very bright, the orange remains slightly muted (yellow and magenta both being cool). A good red is obtainable but the blue is slightly muted.
    Please let me know if you painted a picture with this palette. I'm definately looking forward to make one very soon. ENJOY this little color mixing video! :)
    The colors that I used are Flake White Hue, Cadmium Lemon, Quinacridone Magenta (Sennelier), a mixed Turquoise (Pthalo Blue, Pthalo Green and White) and Ivory Black

    Brushes that I used are mostly rounds. Rounds were through this vendor in amazon.in. www.amazon.in/...

    Finally someone who paints with CMY! A lot of people think that painting and printing have different primaries, they completely ignore evidence against them.

    Nice palette, but it doesn't looks like magenta but vermilion nor cyan but light blue.

      It's actually due to lighting. cobalt teal is strangely opaque bluish green.

    What paint brand do you use please ? I was exposed to this palette C , M & Y by a Scottish colourist , Scott Naismith. Same as they use in photocopy machines. Wonderful video , thanx. Hwyl from Wales.

    The blue mixes are muted because you added in the mix of Cyan white, which was needed of course because you are using oil paints.
    The same mixes in watercolours, are going to give you very bright blues. And it is not even needed to premix the cyan. With a Mid yellow, magenta, phthalo blue and phthalo green you can mix all about everything.

    isnt the 'M' a bit red and thats one reason why the oranges arent insipid. They are on pretty much any printed poster we just dont look for it. Cool rather than mid yellolw may have set it back slightly. Still nice to use real colours - a compromise between old and clinical palette as you get to use a real cool red (eg madder roe) and turquoise blue(eg cerulian) rather than kids colours

      what is a better magenta?

    • @markcbeaumont4670
      @markcbeaumont4670 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bsdiceman there isnt a better magenta if thats what you intend to use. There just arent any true primaries . A traditional red produces weaker purples while many colours halfway between traditional red and magenta work better for both worlds. Rose is often a name given to those pigments closest to magenta

    would be great if they come out with a color mixing machine in that you just input your CMYK values, and the machine precisely mixes the correct amount of paint to the desired color.

      Yellow and black create a perfect natural green. Bright neon green is powerful but unnatural.

      Actually, the purpose of my question is that the colors do not appear exactly with cmy at the 10th second. Why colors equivalent to 255 0 255 and 0 255 255 RGB colors are not used. Colors used in printers in bottles It even looks like different colors. My aim is not to judge but to understand. Because if a darker color is used, it seems to me that it is necessary to lighten it with white to find the right cyan color. The issue is not how it looks on a white page, but why cmyk colors, which are actually shown with the RGB color code, are not used, but darker tones are always used. I'm asking for information purposes.@@KaustavMukherjeeFineArt
