Jerald Vincent Zumel we are able to defend what we have because we went and got it. I’m not sure what you meant by these words but when you build a kingdom or a house even , let’s go as relatable to us regular folks as a relationship ... you had to acquire it in some manner ... of course there are variables, anyhow my point is that LBJ successfully defended his titles twice out of three, MJ successfully defended his titles ....every .....single .....time ... lol. Never lost it actually. That’s Mount Rushmore my friend.
@Jiggy Thanos Lebron has accomplished alot win or lose. He has gone to 8 or 9 straight finals before last season and this season the Lakers looked like they had a good chance of bringing that chip home.. I agree with you about Gannis, KD and curry. KD we need to see how he comes back from that Achilles injury and if he can't win a chip without joining a super team he will be know for that and take him off the greatest player list. I know you may come back with Lebron need Bosh and wade but remember what he did in Cleveland not only facing a great warriors team but coming back to win 3 games "history " curry is established as a great Hall of Famer no doubt, he didn't have to jump the ship to win a chip. Gannis is a freaking beast man but still need to see what the future holds for him, work in progress still.. I use to hate Lebron but as a basketball fan he got my respect with the come back against the warriors, that definitely established his name on the list and if he brings a chip to LA,that'll be 3 different franchises he got a chip for, never has been done before..
@@jessevaldez3634 lebron never defended his title twice. He only defended it once in 2013 season. His 2012 ring with wade and bosh the dallas are the defending champ. They won in 2012 and defended it in 2013 then lose to the spurs in 2014. MJ defended his title 6 times.
Nope 80s was a better decade. The 90s was full of expansion teams. The 80s was the best decade ever in terms of basketball competition. MJ is overrated
MSC King it’s how can warriors be the best when they didn’t win the championship. Lebron fans love calling the warriors the best (2016 and 2017) to create a narrative for lebron shortcomings.
@@jjjjjjaylon What? Stupid comment 😂 People just say stuff without even watching. Literally any highlight you look up from the 90's you can see people dribbling left. Please stop acting like that is something new that people couldn't do in the past. Dribbling with your weak hand is normal, not something new
A testament to MJ'S greatness was that in 98 Finals in game 6 they were in trouble and Jordan knew it. Remember Scottie was having back issues and if they didn't win that game 6, I don't know if Scottie could have played game 7. He stole the ball from Malone, hit the game winner hand extended. Ended up with 45. The rest is history.
I was a teenager too during this time and personally, for me, the only time I really thought a team was going to win against the Bulls was the Suns.... Utah was a great team but the Suns had me terrified, and every game the winner won by 10 points or less with one being triple OT.
Charles Barkley is top20 for sure You could always do the if he had a good team or another star players he would no doubt have a ring he just needed a good shooter or star point guard and he would have delivered one
@@malcolmx.peacock6229 Sir Charles was MVP that year, deservily, and he made a great run in the playoffs. Also, they had a very good and compensate team, and if I'm not wrong, also the best record in regular season. These finals were incredible
Exactly! I can never forget the 1998 Conference Finals against the Pacers and the Bulls lost Game 6. In the media conference, Jordan simply said, "We will win Game 7. I don't make promises. I don't make promises to my wife but we will win Game 7." Yoooo.......those games were intense.
@Ricochetrabitt So Utah wasn't, nor Seattle or Portland... Man gtfoh,... Everybody looks at golden st and say they nobody faced real competition.... Ridiculous
@ Thank you they all say they were old when they beat them but when you ask them quickly well how old were they? They don't know. They need to look it up. They just repeating talking points and cliches others say.
Because MJ never let them be in danger. It took MJ 41 PPG to beat the Suns who had All Defense Marjele, MVP Barkley, and a walking 20/11 in KJ (In which Iverson said KJ was his toughest player he had to face when he entered the league).
Suns were the best team they played in the 6 finals, they were a fast pace team so alot of shots put up and even though Majerle was all defense like twice maybe hes not Bruce Bowen or Kawhi funneling to Tim Duncan at the rim, or a trio of Iguodala, Klay and Draymond taking turns. Jordan played very poorly down the stretch of gm 6 actually and if Paxson doesn't hit that game winner, gm 7 is in Phoenix. Also Sonics series Jordan averages 27 on 41% but he has the greatest defense behind him holding the Sonics under 90ppg. And 98 Jazz weren't a great team Stockton was declining he wasnt even All-NBA that year and the Bulls held them to 54pts in a finals game. Bulls overpowered the league athletically, jumping, speed , quickness, Michael was best perimeter player so with his crew he should've won. Michael is lucky Hakeem didnt have a 3× NBA 1rst team and 7× defensive first team co star like Pippen for 10 plus years.
Here's some facts about why MJ is the GOAT Michael Jordan has: •3 more rings •3 more final mvps •1 more DPOY •1 more season MVP •9 more scoring titles •3 more steals leader •3 more all defensive team selections •4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer. •800 more steals •Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10) •Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals Lebron did it twice •6/6 (never allowed a game 7) •Lebron had much more offensive help, example: Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring * In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26 •MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs •MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games.. MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons Lebron after his 16th season, is still chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago” •Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg. (86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics. •Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line. •in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this. •the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%. •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3% •MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3. •MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9% •LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games. Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games. Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times (updated 2018) •MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.. •Mj also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy. Also, MJ averaged 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-88 season which is absolutely bonkers for a 6’6″ shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. Mj is the GOAT. MIchael Jordan: •NBA record 5 playoffs series’ averaging atleast 40ppg •Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY •Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series: 41.0 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA Finals •Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win Most Valuable Player, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (1987-88) •Only player in history to average at least 30pts 6reb 5assists And 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES. •Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), Defensive Player of the Year (1987-88), NBA MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98), All-Star MVP (1988, 1996, 1998), and Finals MVP (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season * He did this SIX TIMES!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98) •One of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87) * Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this. •MJ is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at age 40, and he did it twice! •In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk Champ, All Star Game MVP, NBA Scoring Title, League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls: -10 scoring titles, -Won Defensive Player of the Year, -9 times all defensive team, -9time All NBA, -5 league MVPs -6 finals MVPs All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career… Remind me again...who is the GOAT?.
fun fact: in the 97-98 regular season, the Bulls met the Jazz three times. The Bulls lost all three games but still managed to beat them in the finals.
For sure, which makes what Jordan did at the end of the game to win it so amazing. Had they lost game 6, they would have been in trouble in game 7 in utah, probably without Pippen.
1997 Finals is possibly the greatest of all time....Game 1, 4, 5 & 6 are all time classics. The games all came down to the final play....go eat another cake Brian
Also the 1992 Blazers had a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter in Game 6 of the Finals, but I guess let's just completely disregard what the Bulls accomplished with that amazing comeback as well
Bill Pap. I think he means with the main core, Warriors eventually won the next year with the same core. 90’s Blazers though were always great but never won a championship, were always contenders but lost in the finals vs Detroit then Chicago.
@Bill Pap. Nope, that series was boring besides game7. They were all lopsided games and in game7 only 1 field goal in last 5 minutes? 2010, 1997, and 1984 were much better
97 and 98 Finals put the Bulls against the wall...that Jazz team was no joke. Before this will become a topic for Lenronfans saying that Mike and the Bulls faced no competition🤦♂️🤦🏽♀️
The Bulls were in danger in Game 6 versus the Jazz when Jordan got the steal and hit "the shot." Because Pippen was hurt and Game 7 would have been in Utah.
Never played a game 7... you cant say WUT IF , cuz that's like saying WUT IF shaq n Kobe stayed together... WUT IF OKC never traded harden... that's not reality ... reality no game 7
i think the meaning of the “danger” they are talking about is like on the brink of losing the series, brink of elimination not just 1 game in the finals, man we never saw that.
As a kid I had so much respect for the Utah Jazz....felt like everytime Malone touched the ball it was a basket...and the commentator would say...'The mailman delivers'....
E BO So everybody that has retired has quit?!? He’s quitting now then lol. Everything else you mentioned is accurate except that part. Let’s tell the whole truth...not most of it.
@PeezyDaBeatMonster Its legit very annoying, but this is how people are now. One guy makes it to 6 and wins 6. One guy makes it 9 and loses 6 but the bigger number is 9...so 9 must mean hes better. I know it makes 0 sense...but this is how it is.
James Brickner who tf has LeBron ran into in the East? NO ONE! Biggest threat was a D Rose lead Bulls team and we know how that ended... dude has been running into the Milsap lead Hawks in the conference finals. Trash by Jason Terry, JJ Barea I’m the finals lmao.

@@BluesGetOrigin exactly. Look I'm 38 and ah people need to stop acting as if MJ won it all alone, Pip was amazing and they had snipers on the bench and had big men who actually played Center, not trying to shoot 3s . Some need to go back and look at the Game 6 against Portland( you know where the bench bailed MJ out bc he couldn't score and sat for a long time cheering his teammates in leading the comeback before he re entered, FRESH, got going, stole the ball from Buck Williams and got title #2) Game 6 against Phoenix ( I clearly remember Paxson for 3 and a Horace Grant block on a Kevin Johnson jumper to seal it. They were close to being game 7s . Just being honest. And I was a bulls fan but I also saw the Game 6 in Utah 98, that IMO if Scottie didn't play big minutes and hit a big turn around jumper with a bad back and Rodman messing with Malone there may have been a Game 7 as well. This MJ won it all on his own narrative is tired. Different Eras for Different players
There's a reason the bulls were never in serious danger. And that reason is called Michael Jordan. Twice in the finals his team trailed 1-0. That's it. After game two his teams never trailed. That's called dominance
In 35 finals games his team only lost back to back games twice, in 96 and 97. That’s it. Compared to LBJ who got swept in 07 and 2018. Lost 3 in a row in ‘11, ‘14, ‘15 and 17.
Jahleel X We have a Bron groupie up there in that segment trying to throw a subtle shot at MJ, you may recognize him. Yes there’s more than just Nick Wright and Shannon.
@@eazyduzit-tr3nx lmao so I'm a Lebron groupie for asking u why u brought up Lebron? Or throwing a shot at MJ because I asked why u brought up Lebron? If u love Jordan so much why are u bringing Lebron up? I came to this video because I appreciate greatness. As I do all great players but I don't think he the GOAT and never will. That being said I'm still not sure what Lebron has to do with anything. I didn't mention him u did so I'm asking u why.
The Bulls were challenged in the Finals pretty well. The issue was that they rose to the occasion. Probably the most amazing part of Jordan's playoff career was that his teams were never upset. When the Bulls had home court, they won their playoff series. Jordan's record was 24-0 in those circumstances. You don't get the feeling that the Bulls left any titles off the table. Bird probably would say he's most disappointed by the 1985 Finals, losing 2/3 at home. Magic probably is wondering how they got KO'd in the second round against Phoenix in 1990. Kobe struggled badly in the 2004 Finals. LeBron's 2011 was an unmitigated disaster.
Honestly they were in trouble in 1998. Game 6, down 3 with less than a minute to go, and game 7 would still be in Utah. Scottie with a hurt back, MJ and the team running on fumes. They were in danger until MJ did what he did.
I can still remember watching the game live as it happened. Utah had the game won, and MJ stole it away from them. I watched the game again recently and even 22 years later, was still awestruck.
I remember that game too. That's a part of what makes Jordan who he is. In the clutch against the shot clock you know Jordan will close out with everything on the line.
Jordan was the "Favorite" in all 6 Finals because he was "Jordan"...That is WHY...No other player can be the GOAT over Jordan...He had the Game...The Look...The Swag...The Confidence...His game was Effortless but also Dominant...He had that very rare "IT" factor...He is just too ICONIC and his TOWERING legacy is simply Unattainable by another Player...He is the GOAT...Just stop desperately trying to compare another player to him already...He stands all ALONE at the Top of the Mountain...Even Old successful White men dressed in a Suit have on his "Shoes"....He simply represents the TOP of the Food chain
The Bulls never got challenged because Michael set the tone for the rest of the team. Pippen and Kukoc and Rodman were all phenomenal in their own ways.
Brian Windhorst - "(No other team) has touched that level of dominance." -- the trifecta of Shaq/Kobe Lakers displayed that kind of level of dominance, i think.
Yeah. The Bulls had a few good teams, but Rose knees going out killed any chance those teams had. Besides that, the Bulls have been in rebuild for almost 24 years.
93 and 98 they were in identical situations. They'd blown a chance at home to close the series and found themselves down on the road in the final minute of game 6. In both situations, they were in danger of facing a road game 7.
It's not a danger lmao. Going to game 7 is a danger? A danger is when the whole series is on the line or maybe a lose game will put you in unwinnable position. Like going 0-3 in the series. MJ's team where never in that situation. There's a difference in shooting a winning 3 when its tie and shooting a 3 even you down by only one. As great as MJ and his team is, they always have that " we can fvck up this play and this game and we still have another chance". Not their fault though, they are lowkey super stacked...
IMAGINE BEING A GROWN MALE CHEERLEADER FOR ANOTHER MAN YOU NEVER MET WHILE BASHING ANOTHER MAN 🤔😂😂. DO YOU NEED A HUG? WHAT HAS LEBRON EVER DONE TO YOU?
I remember an interview on pat riley during miami heat and bulls playoff and he said that he had the players and a system that can beat the bulls and when asked what's the difference you see between your team and the bulls,, he simply answered with no doubt in his mind,"Michael Jordan"
As a lifelong Bulls fan who watched every finals run the only times I felt nervous was when the Knicks had us down 2-0 in '93, Pacers game 7 in '98, Suns almost winning game 6 in '93 and Jazz almost winning game 6 in '98. I did NOT want a game 7 in Phoenix or Utah. But other than those games I never broke a sweat. 🐐
Bulls were in trouble a few times but Jordan pulled them out of the fire.. game 5 97.. they were down big in 1st half n he had food poisoning.. game 6 down 3 with 41 seconds left... but the goat pulled them out of the fire
The Bulls had the best TEAM in the NBA (so good that even when MJ left to play baseball the team continued winning). People act as though there were only 6 players on the floor - MJ and the opposing team. Why is one player given soooooo much credit for what was a team success? He was the best player on the team but there were several future HOFers on the team as well.
they were 34-31 the very next season. All the energy of trying to prove to everyone they didn't need MJ was gone. You never mention that season and I wonder why? it doesn't line up with your lies?
Yes I agree it was tough I was a die hard bull fan and I come home immediately after school game was on around 3to 4 pm Miller pushes Jordan game winner. Went to a game 7 but Jordan was extraordinary so Bulls won in 7
I agree. Still remember in 98 watching on tv after game 6 ecf and thinking, the Bulls and MJ look so tired they might lose game 7. Nbc and Tnt even made dramatic montage of the Bulls struggle.
cool reg one of the stupidest comments I’ve read. This “super” team notion began with Lebron going to the heat yet you take him off that team and they’re fighting for deep playoff run. That Celtics team was a super team. That 90s team was definitely a super team, you don’t win 72 games and 3peat TWICE, without having one of if not thee most dominate team in NBA history.
@Andrew Chin agreed. Houston sort of had a super team when they added Barkley and Drexler to an already solid team around Olajuwon, but around that time Clyde/Charles were a shell of themselves. It wasnt until that Celtics team with KG, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo that the super team really took off in the nba.
They are all superteams. How about this, compare how many super teams won chips versus non-super teams that won chips. You'll see, unless you don't know or biased what a super team is.
@@JerichoMile06 I know what a Super Team is. Miami Heat was the 1st Team t 2 top 5 players and a top 10 joining up in their 20s. Warriors with KD absolutely. In fact nobody ever called those teams super teams until the Lebron era .
I live in Chicago, and had the privilege of watching all the games. There were a few finals series where it was like, if Pheonix or if Utah forced a 7th game, I don’t know if the Bulls can win. Even with Jordan. Especially when Scottie’s back was injured badly against Utah. In the 98 ECF, that was the closest the Bulls came to losing. The Pacers took the 7th game all the way down to the wire
They almost blew a 3-1 lead to Seattle lowkey like extremely lowkey Or you can say 1998. They didn’t dominate game 6. They had to claw it out in the final seconds. That’s what makes Jordan and the bulls so great. They were in danger and Jordan saved them in possibly the most clutch way possible (For the young kids) MJ’s steal on Malone and shot on russell is like if Lebron not only blocked Iggy but shot the shot kyrie made in game 7 back in 2016. MJ did those 2 things by himself 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Benjamin Peters They we’re dominant in the first 3 games but after that it kinda looked like Seattle had a chance. Especially since MJ shot bad in that series. But yeah Chicago did bust game 6 open
Benjamin Peters that’s why I said lowkey. Everybody expected a sweep and then it was 3-1. We thought they were gonna win in 5 and then it was 3-2. Plus that wasn’t Jordan’s best overall finals performance but they definitely handled Seattle in game 6
I've watched the bulls before they started running into Detroit pistons, i was a bulls and mj super fan, the knicks was a big challenge. Just tough games. So entertaining and iconic plays every year
Jordan in more than 10 consecutive seasons never lost 3 consecutive games in a row in pre season, regular season, or playoffs. That is unheard of in any sport. Jordan was the greatest winner in any team game
1991 Lakers were supposed to be 2-1 over the Bulls but the Bulls stole the game 3 with Jordan's clutch jumper to send it into overtime. Then the Lakers had tough luck with Byron and Worthy getting hurt. I'm not saying the Lakers would have won the series but Windy really underplaying the competition that Jordan and Pippen had they had to play exceptionable well in order to win that series.
His whole career is insane. His rookie stats are mind boggling and the teams he had to face in the playoffs as a young bull every year would harden any true competitor. The first time he had a healthy, Scottie Pippen he never didn't win a championship again. It took one all star calibur guy and it was never even close. You look at the kind of teams that win these days, they are lucky to win with 3 hall of famers and a good bench. Unreal.
Richie Morales He lost in the 90s with Pippen. Yes he missed game 7 but he still should have won at least that 1 game. Also the 1995 ECSF happened to. He lost with a healthy bulls team in their prime against Orlando. Jordan was great but let’s not act like he didn’t lose during his prime years. No excuses if your on the floor it doesn’t matter how long you were off it or if your missing a player.

Richie Morales that’s because the competition is so much better these days. There was no Kd,Steph and Klay trio to go against. Lebron fought against 2 of the top 5 all time offensive threats and arguably a top 5 all time shooter in Klay. Remind me where was this competition back when Jordan was playing against plumbers
JPK Clutch you obviously don’t know basketball. Try walking away from basketball from 18 months and come back playing at the biggest stage, you don’t have enough time to recover. But of course, you will never understand.
Life must truly suck for you Bron h8rs. MJ was never in danger in the finals, because he never really played anybody in the finals. Mean while Bron faced true juggernauts.
Al-Malik Malik “Never played anybody” but we know Dirk, KG, Duncan (who all have winning records in the playoffs against LeBum) kept losing to those guys MJ faced in the late 90s and early 2000s.

yeah but other than the 2 season Jordan left Pippen was always a #2. Magic, Kareem and Kobe were all the Man at some point in their career and it was for several seasons. That's why I think Scottie is the greatest #2 and probably why they do too
Scottie was better than the Young Kobe. Kareem maybe 🤷♂️. Scottie game had 0 weaknesses. And he could literally guard everybody on the floor. And actually shut them down
They were never a super team!!! Lol media trying to save Bron again. That team had two all stars and the last dance had ONE all star!!!! Never in danger but played six game series. Jordan was dominant and got it done even when I rooted against it.
1:20 We're entitled to defend what we have until we lose it....nothing is guaranteed in rebuilding....cubs have been rebuilding for 42 years." What wise and prophetic words. The Bulls have been rebuilding for the last 20 years.
The reason Brian may have felt they were never in danger in the finals is because the western conference teams back then were not as good as the East. The real challenge to the Bulls in those dates were the teams in the East. Eastern Conference teams in the 90's were far tougher than the West.
Yeah Cause he was that great of a player To have Kerr at PG and still beat 5 60 win teams in the finals Lol People think MJ had some sort of super team He had a well coached team and he was so far above his opponents

James doe not feel comfortable being that dude, which is why Kyrie was Batman in pressure situations. James handed his utility belt to Kyrie when it mattered; then got it back after the fact to get all the shine.
They were also in danger in the 1997 Finals. They won that series by 4 points. Total. Utah led the vast majority of minutes over the course of the series.
“MJ played trash competition”, then why couldn’t LeBum make the playoffs against them in his first two years in the league? Most of the players from 2000-2009 were drafted in the mid to late 90s. Got swept by 90s players Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry, Michael Finley, Brent Barry, and Duncan in the Finals. LMFAOOOO
@@meditationmayham3590 yeah I'll give LeBron credit for that he had no business being there but I don't give guys accolades for losing in the finals or West and Baylor would be in my top 10
“Plumber” Steve Nash was not a starter in the late 90s, yet somehow in the 2000s advanced era he was a league MVP. Stockton was playing into his 40s in the 2000s and abused prime Kidd.
You know players can get better as they play right? Nash in the 90s was nowhere as good as Nash in the 2000s. Young players often stuggle especially at the PG position.
So one short coming and that’s it, mj never got past the first round for 4 years straight, if you have LeBron your automatically going to the finals lol obviously mj is the goat but LeBron is one of the greatest basketball players in history, so why doesn’t he deserve respect
@@kenoihall48 I love LBJ don't get me wrong, but poorly constructed arguments like the "1-9 before Pippen" argument which conveniently leaves out crucial information, such as the fact that those were Jordan's first 4 years in the league and they were lucky to even make the playoffs with all the drug and conduct problems they had during those years, also leaving out the fact that they went up against one of if not the greatest team ever in Bird's celtics with no other all star at the time. That first round record is no where near close to being as bad as that 2011 finals and who the Mavs beat that year is irrelevant to how poorly LBJ played that series. That series a lone is why I could never call LeBron the GOAT. Jordan's failures happened when they're supposed to happen, in the first half of his career. LeBron's biggest failures happened while he was in his prime and one of those were with Wade who was still in his prime in 2011 and a better basketball player than Pippen ever was at any point of his career offensively. Again, I love LeBron, but 2011 was too harsh of a blow.
Kenoi Shields LeBron has multiple shortcomings not just 1. LeBron didn't even make the playoffs last year so what are u talking about "automatic finals appearance?" LeBron only made 3 more finals than MJ y'all act like he made 10 more
Eh, the Pacers were up a game in the Easter Conference Finals, the Flu game was a big game for the Jazz, they'd be up 3-2 if they won. The Knicks were up 2-0 vs the Bulls.
Sorry to correct you, but the Pacers never led in that series, each team won their home games. the first two were in Chicago, the next two in Indiana. Game 6 was also in Indiana, but games 5 and 7 where in Chicago. I was a Pacer fan back then...I remember.
"We are entitled to defend what we have until we lose it."
Some words to live by, not only in sports, but in life in general.
Best comment on this video, you could not be more right, especially with current events.
awesome point!
In 2020, we are still talking about the 90s Bulls. The best team, the best decade ever!!!
J W because the Cavs beat the best team in the finals.
J W nope warriors in 2017 better lmao
lol yuppppp
One thing that's always struck me with Jordan is how when he speaks, how much power and weight is in what he says.
The best era of basketball. The best team in the best era, and the best player in MJ. I miss those NBA days
How and players couldn’t ever dribble left

Whats Ironic about that is Charles Barkley isnt even a top 20 player all time.
@@malcolmx.peacock6229 that's certainly debatable
Charles Barkley is top20 for sure

They faced tougher competition in the conference finals.
Exactly! I can never forget the 1998 Conference Finals against the Pacers and the Bulls lost Game 6. In the media conference, Jordan simply said, "We will win Game 7. I don't make promises. I don't make promises to my wife but we will win Game 7." Yoooo.......those games were intense.
They faced no one! Jordan couldn't beat bird or Isaiah until they were old. He would've never got pass these squads today.
@@TDiggs-bq7kf really... They faced no one... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Ricochetrabitt So Utah wasn't, nor Seattle or Portland... Man gtfoh,... Everybody looks at golden st and say they nobody faced real competition.... Ridiculous

He took CARE OF BUSINESS!
90s bulls were electrifying, watched every game I could. Basketball will NEVER be the same. Sure miss it
Because MJ never let them be in danger. It took MJ 41 PPG to beat the Suns who had All Defense Marjele, MVP Barkley, and a walking 20/11 in KJ (In which Iverson said KJ was his toughest player he had to face when he entered the league).
I would say the 2016 warriors are a much better team
Sean Dewberry how ? They lost the finals 😂
@@meditationmayham3590 nah the Suns would beat them. The 2018 Warriors would beat the Suns
KJ was almost unstoppable in that finals. Chicago simply didn't have a solution for him for most of the series.
90s bulls in my teenage years are the best
Here's some facts about why MJ is the GOAT
Michael Jordan has:
•3 more rings
•3 more final mvps
•1 more DPOY
•1 more season MVP
•9 more scoring titles
•3 more steals leader
•3 more all defensive team selections
•4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer.
•800 more steals
•Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10)
•Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals
Lebron did it twice
•6/6 (never allowed a game 7)
•Lebron had much more offensive help, example:
Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring
* In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game
Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26
•MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs
•MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games..
MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons
Lebron after his 16th season, is still chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago”
•Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series.
•MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3%
•MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3.
•MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9%
•LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games.
Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games.
Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times (updated 2018)
•MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year..
MIchael Jordan:
•NBA record 5 playoffs series’ averaging atleast 40ppg
•Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY
•Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series:
41.0 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA Finals
•Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85)
•Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win Most Valuable Player, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (1987-88)
•Only player in history to average at least 30pts 6reb 5assists And 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES.
•Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), Defensive Player of the Year (1987-88), NBA MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98), All-Star MVP (1988, 1996, 1998), and Finals MVP (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998)
•Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season
* He did this SIX TIMES!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98)
•One of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87)
* Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this.
•MJ is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at age 40, and he did it twice!
•In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk Champ, All Star Game MVP, NBA Scoring Title, League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls:
-10 scoring titles,
-Won Defensive Player of the Year,
-9 times all defensive team,
-9time All NBA,
-5 league MVPs
-6 finals MVPs
All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career…

2x. Teams in opposite conferences always meet exactly twice during the regular season (lockout season notwithstanding).
1998 game 6, Pippen was hurt (played with a bad back) and Utah was up a lot of the game. Would have had game 7 in Utah too.
Jordan W I vividly remember that! Good times.

For sure, which makes what Jordan did at the end of the game to win it so amazing. Had they lost game 6, they would have been in trouble in game 7 in utah, probably without Pippen.

@@BluesGetOrigin exactly. Look I'm 38 and ah people need to stop acting as if MJ won it all alone, Pip was amazing and they had snipers on the bench and had big men who actually played Center, not trying to shoot 3s .
That’s it.

Mj was right about the rebuilding part... Bulls Still rebuilding
Yeah The Bulls still are rebuilding because Jordan retired, Not because Rose was too athletic for his own good

One of the greatest and funnest dynasties to ever watch.
The Bulls the Celtics and Lakers the Spurs weren't super teams they were dynasties. The Heat Warriors team with KD were Super Teams
cool reg one of the stupidest comments I’ve read.
Cherry picking I see
They are all superteams.
They almost blew a 3-1 lead to Seattle lowkey like extremely lowkey
Or you can say 1998. They didn’t dominate game 6. They had to claw it out in the final seconds. That’s what makes Jordan and the bulls so great. They were in danger and Jordan saved them in possibly the most clutch way possible
(For the young kids) MJ’s steal on Malone and shot on russell is like if Lebron not only blocked Iggy but shot the shot kyrie made in game 7 back in 2016. MJ did those 2 things by himself 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
It was a 3-0 series but Seattle had two more home games. Chicago won game 6 by double digits.
Benjamin Peters They we’re dominant in the first 3 games but after that it kinda looked like Seattle had a chance. Especially since MJ shot bad in that series. But yeah Chicago did bust game 6 open
@@kobebryant9801 coming back from 3-0 is virtually impossible in basketball.
It was never close there was no doubt about any finals series he was in at any time be for real.
3:01 was a graphic really neccesary? LOL
Luciano Ribero not at all!! Was thinking the same....like, a bar graph!!??
😂😂😂😂😂
That’s how bored they probably are lol
Lol that’s like a second grade math problem bar graph 😂😂
Apparently Windhorst doesn't remember us being down 18 in Game 7 against the Pacers in 98. N these are the supposed sports journalists smmfh
It's almost as though people pretend Jordan only played 6 seasons it's pretty weird.

The greatest team ever in sports history 90s Chicago Bulls
Man best time ever!! Every game was something you didn’t see mj do!! Best ever to play the game.
MJ is the GOAT PERIOD!!
I love watching the bulls too
i remember bron always in danger in the finals 😳😳
Life must truly suck for you Bron h8rs.
MJ was never in danger in the finals, because he never really played anybody in the finals. Mean while Bron faced true juggernauts.
Al-Malik Malik “Never played anybody” but we know Dirk, KG, Duncan (who all have winning records in the playoffs against LeBum) kept losing to those guys MJ faced in the late 90s and early 2000s.

I see you're another one of those Bron h8r's who argues just to argue. Yes you're right. You know what your talking about, I don't, so I give. ☮️

Lebron could do a documentary
Just Like this. But it would focus primarily on him team hopping and ring chasing....Oh and losing😅
And u brought Lebron up because u think he the GOAT. There is no other reason to bring Lebron up on an MJ video.
Jahleel X Lmaooooo Lebron not even better than Kobe, Kareem, magic and bird

@@iloading_ MAGIC AND BIRD ARE SO UNATHLETIC, YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS..
93 bulls were In danger of going to a GM 7. We’re down late in Game 6 to Phoenix. Paxson hit the shot. 97-98 Kerr hit the shot vs Utah to win that, he misses they go to 7. Flu game , Utah was up 16 until mike and pipp took it over. 98. Utah had the lead late, then Jordan happened
Idk if Scottie was the greatest #2 player ever, who was #2 on the showtime lakers team? Magic or Kareem? Also Kobe was a number 2 at one point
yeah but other than the 2 season Jordan left Pippen was always a #2. Magic, Kareem and Kobe were all the Man at some point in their career and it was for several seasons. That's why I think Scottie is the greatest #2 and probably why they do too
@@Boss3Nate bingo
Scottie was better than the Young Kobe. Kareem maybe 🤷♂️. Scottie game had 0 weaknesses. And he could literally guard everybody on the floor. And actually shut them down
GREATEST TEAM OF ALLTIME.. with the GOAT.
I was nervous on 98 ECF against Indiana especially 4th quarter😥😥😥
Yeeea
Yeah but I think he was talking bout the finals... Never went 2game7
The Phoenix Suns 🔥🏀 gave the Bulls the toughest challenge in the finals than any of the other finals teams
The reason Brian may have felt they were never in danger in the finals is because the western conference teams back then were not as good as the East. The real challenge to the Bulls in those dates were the teams in the East. Eastern Conference teams in the 90's were far tougher than the West.
Indeed
Thank you someone knows their history
Exactly! The road to the finals was horrendous for the bulls. In comparison, Lebron had to build superteams and cakewalked to the finals
The Bulls were PRESSED against the Pacers in the 1998 ECF. Seven games and Pip had the 3 point play
It’s just weird how much people obsess over Jordan and LeBron, like do you guys even have teams you like?
Knicks in those 90s series (they had a game 7 in 1992) and the Pacers in 1998 forced the Bulls to a game 7.
Yeah
Cause he was that great of a player
To have Kerr at PG and still beat 5 60 win teams in the finals
Lol
People think MJ had some sort of super team
He had a well coached team and he was so far above his opponents
Having Jordan, Rodman, and Pippen isn’t some sort of super team? Plus Phil Jackson as coach. It is
@@sixfiftychris scottie was mostly hurt in his second 3peat
And Rodman was only Rodman the first title
It's a great trio if it was at full strength but it wasn't

This is so true and Jordan was the first SG to win with out a legit big man he really was just that good
The guy faced plumbers and electricians while he had a super team (in that era)
wait, @3:50, in your face MJ! lol
Lol at people saying MJ having Rodman and Pippen and then saying bulls didn't play anybody like Rodman wasn't on the Pistons when he won two championships and lost to the bulls in 91 🤔🤫...he was 38. Whats LeBron going to do with a 38 year old Chris Bosh😆
Try to trade him
When Michael is so dominant it's hard to make it look like both teams are on level ground. That's why his and their legacy is SOLID.
James doe not feel comfortable being that dude, which is why Kyrie was Batman in pressure situations. James handed his utility belt to Kyrie when it mattered; then got it back after the fact to get all the shine.
Bron hit big shots before my favorite wen he balled out against the Pistons in 07 completely took over
Kyrie saved his grill tho
Bron scored 7 of the final 10, which included a clutch ft to ice the game. Nice try tho
QQue Jay lol bron had 27 11 11 good shot tho by kyrie
Rojelio Castro
“Ice” the game lol
Man had it been LBJ hitting that Kyrie clutch shot we would never hear the end of it.
The 1998 finals, the Bulls were in danger off losing but the only thing people remember is the Jordan shot.
True!
“Plumber” Steve Nash was not a starter in the late 90s, yet somehow in the 2000s advanced era he was a league MVP. Stockton was playing into his 40s in the 2000s and abused prime Kidd.
He wasn't in his prime yet in the 90s. He was young steve nash. He was a good player throughout the 00s with both the Mavs and Suns.
You know players can get better as they play right? Nash in the 90s was nowhere as good as Nash in the 2000s. Young players often stuggle especially at the PG position.
That's when the leauge started getting weak
Game 6 of the 1998 Finals I was worried because Scottie Pippen's back made him mostly unavailable in that game.
Oh really, Charles Barkley and Phoenix Suns had the best chance of dethroning him, I mean them. Freudian slip. LOL.

I felt it though during the conference finals against the Pacers in game 6. What a shot by Reggie.
because with lebron you are thinking this guy could shrink at any moment like in 2011 nba finals.
So one short coming and that’s it, mj never got past the first round for 4 years straight, if you have LeBron your automatically going to the finals lol obviously mj is the goat but LeBron is one of the greatest basketball players in history, so why doesn’t he deserve respect
@@kenoihall48 because these people worship MJ. That's why. Apparently it's a crime to have an opinion that anyone other than MJ is the GOAT.
