LSU in for a long season with that defense. They were trying everything in their power to lose this game.
They had some striped help
True. LSU defense is just...not.
Only thing satisfying about this game, since the refs appeared to help, was shutting up the obnoxious USC fans. I guess LSU didn't want to lose to a "USC" team again this season.

From the NCAA: "A blind side block is defined as an open field block against an opponent that is initiated from outside the opponent’s field of vision, or otherwise in such a

Huge CONGRATS to the LSU...REFS!!! They called back a 100 yard Pick 6 by Emanwori because a Carolina guy blocked Nussmeier! Then they called back a completed pass downfield on a ghost offensive pass interference that the casters could NOT find after watching 3 times on Slow mo. Plus a REF standing right on the sideline, just feet from the play, called an LSU catch when the WR had BOTH knees out of bounds before the ball ever reached his hands (that was at least overturned). Incredible game that the REFS felt they needed to be involved in constantly. Seems they all had bets on LSU. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE! Hope the SEC Commish issues a meaningless apology to Carolina for the obvious incompetence/bias.

Doesn't matter because neither team will be in the playoffs 😂
This is another example of what I wrote last night in the UGA recap comments about “never taking any SEC road win for granted”. CFB has always been unpredictable even with highly ranked teams. Since LSU isn’t as highly ranked at the moment as UGA and this game was played earlier in the day, most people just overlooked it as a narrow LSU win but it’s just as indicative of what UGA faced later that day. The better team finds a way in the end, no matter how sluggish the first 3+ quarters have gone. And then there’s always upsets. But especially in the SEC, where so many marquee teams have always had major targets on them going into fierce opposing stadiums against comparable teams hungry for a major win. Even Brian Kelly has been around the block enough now to know that the SEC is a different story. Just getting out of these hostile environments with a win after not playing up to standard is good enough sometimes. These factors in level of competition and difficulty of schedule, including away conference games, should always factor in with more weight when ranking or selecting teams.
Mental gymnastics, the refs handed lsu the win on a golden platter
That 75 yard rushing touchdown by Sellers was really good.

Nice run by Sanders, but it was aided heavily by 2 holding nocalls. Lineman grabbed 40 by the shoulder pads and the WR held CB #1 by the arm. So both teams were affected by refs.

Everyone in cola gotta keep it up. I thought y’all would lose but this fight y’all put up was insane. I’m so excited for the rest of the season.
Absolutely shameful officiating. Refs did everything they possibly could to give this game to LSU. Pick 6's are massive momentum changing plays and calling one back is tantamount to deliberately shifting the momentum of the game the opposite direction. Those decisions aren't mistakes. They were deliberate choices. Disgusting.

As an lsu fan this has to be the ugliest win ive seen from lsu, lsu made a lot of sloppy and stupid mistakes and yes they got lucky bc of the flag but tbh i cant really say the refs were being bias at all. Lsu probably had as much flags as usc did on both offense and defense, its just the sloppy mistakes lsu makes with their offensive line and their defense. Nussmeier made a lot of mistakes in the pocket as well when he was dropping back and scrambling, lsu definitely needs work on their offensive line, nussmeier needs work, and their defense needs a lot of work as well.

Stop complaining about the called back pick. Nuss was not in any position to catch the returner after the pick, the “block” by the defensive lineman was a cheap shot and was very much unnecessary roughness because it was just that, UNNECESSARY. If you disagree, you’d have to convince the refs that a qb who’s 40 time is probably a 4.6 at best is catching a corner who was already in full stride down the sideline.
anybody on the field that was wearing white uniforms became a defender and were thus eligible to be blocked. If things were called the way you say is "unnecessary", then every offensive play of every game would have to be penalized.
@@thanatos-ov4lc when they aren’t involved in the play anymore then yes it becomes unnecessary. It’s the reason you don’t seen receivers body slam corners or vice versa after they are out of the play and if they do it’s flagged. The only ones that are able to consistently block are offensive linemen but that’s only because by nature of the position the ball is hiked in their area to the most important player on the field every single down.
@@thanatos-ov4lc and by that logic you gave, if Nuss wasn’t anywhere near the play and was just standing there not pursuing (not that it would matter anyways) a D-linemen could come over and slam him down? That’s not how this works, it isn’t WWE smackdown.
