There is also an unlimited super stock class where alcohol is allowed and the tractor has a diesel engine converted to run with spark plugs and alcohol fuel. These are generally the most powerful "stock" classes.
It's extremely tough to travel to these individual shops to film in person. We do interviews over the phone and use snippets of the call for the video. Is there something you'd rather see in lieu of the phone?
@@ronsmith7739 Skype and Zoom are definitely options, and something we can look into more often. However, not everyone has it or is willing to be on camera like that - especially when they are usually in the middle of a day at the shop. It is a valid suggestion though. Thanks!

Riverside ain’t no joke💪 they build a mean ass 680 JD pro stock 👍👍
6in outlet on the turbine side wow
I live right around the corner from this place and have always wondered what goes on in there. They play it close to the vest.
But but, how does it work? Need 10x more info and maybe a clip of one pulling? I'm a fng here trying to learn!
Did the 680 start as a 619?
Are some pro stock tractors methanol or race gas ? some of the deeres and massey's dont smoke at all but sound insane
Strictly diesel fuel

@@isellu when they actually run correctly. 60% of the time they work everytime.
Deere blocks are already wet sleeve. What am I missing?
Was thinking the same thing when I heard that. Wonder if they put thicker sleeves?
@@NewDeereMan bore them out
220,000 dollars and you too could own the engine
What's the torque buddy. Come with more info or none at all
Are these a deck plate set up?
The picture on this video of the 680 motor has no deck plate. Head is sitting directly on the block
@@TheJohndeere466 thanks!
I run a deckplate set up from Haisley in my SS diesel but never thought to ask any of the tractor guys when they’re around.
Hook and book!!💪
wow.. that was short
gonna guess 100 psi boost?
more
closer to 200
@@aydencoats2015 more, closer to 350+
100 psi was 30 years ago
@@cs-gj3yf Really 350 lbs??
Compression ratio?
Not as much as you’d think, generally around 12 1 which is low for a diesel but they drop compression to spin higher rpm and hold more boost
If it not green it's not to be seen y'all it is what it is y'all Andy the jd man from Abbeville sc
