What I've found is that initially it was hard for me to identify with most people. This was depressing at first. But now those feelings have subsided. I'm perfectly fine with not being able to connect with most people. What is now normal... seems to be very unhealthy.

100% facts. I've always been different than most. I just sold my house in the Netherlands and moving to Thailand in November. I've started an online fitness bussiness and it's all developing so fast. I've only been at this a year. Things are moving so fast. Meanwhile most of my "friends" are still in their dead end jobs

I’ve felt like this for a very long time; hence why I started my long journey to self-improvement, in order to understand why, because being able to connect with people and form relationships is a difficult thing to get my head around, seeing other people make it look so easy also affects me negatively

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +3

That's completely okay. Also, consider that you can connect very deeply with people that is very different than you and when you allow that it can be even better. I understand that if some core beliefs and values are not shared it hard but consider it. Maybe a person that had a different story, has different goals, comes from a different country, if you show interest, genuinely (and that's something to develop) you can create beautiful connections. I say this from the perspective of someone that "feels" that doesn't fits anywhere

I feel like you’re an actual friend of mine Dan. This era is pretty wild. We used to be molded by the 5 people closest to us in a physical reality. Now we can choose who we are molded by from anyone just through youtube videos. Sure there were books before, but I feel like videos hit different. This is gonna have some seriously awesome implications in the coming decades as young minds will consciously or unconsciously get molded into a seemingly infinite array of possibilities, for better and for worse.

Another amazing video, Dan! I've written a summary on NPCs and Main Character, perhaps, it will benefit others too:
    *NPC*
0:43 NPC never questions the path
4:55 NPC perspective is very narrow
6:30 NPC doesn't do new actions
12:43 NPC isn't conscious of the decisions
    *Main Character*
1:46 Main character takes control of life
9:00 Main character sets new goals and works towards them
12:43 Main character is conscious of decisions
13:15 Main character creates a new perspective on problems
16:01 Main character follows 3-5 authors/youtubers to change the perspective
17:07 Main character learns from the mistakes
18:27 Main character creates more than consumes

I think the first thing you want to do is some self-care. Not just shampoo/makeup/clothes but a medical check-up and a depression check-up along with some thinking about what is your main problem. What is the thing that will make you feel neutral at least, not necessarily happy. Then, you want to remember some good stuff that you already have or happened during the last 15 years. Third, you wanna get any job just covering your basics. Fourth, hopefully, you can work on a side thing that you’ve always wanted to do like long term.
I hope that wasn’t a lot of words. I am sorry you are feeling this way and I understand apathy quite well. Oh, I forgot something very important, connect with someone whom you can tell about this and he can at least listen well and help get you outdoors.

The things you said about being conscious, making a conscious choice, it's made me pay attention to the narrative I have in my head around this day and around the things going on right now that I can't deal with. I can make a choice, I don't have to do what I automatically do in situations like this and shut down. I can be the main character instead of being a victim of my own thoughts/circumstances. I've been practicing self-awareness for the past 2 years and finally today I'm at a point where I'm starting to look for another professional path that has to do with what you said: capturing the chaos, the mess, realigning and extracting the learning from this. And not simply having a 9-6 job and enjoying the 2 hours at night doing what I really like. It's absurdly powerful what this mental programming does and acts with 95% of the world's population. This does a decent job of pairing NPC with dumb, rigid, conventional and therefore failure when in fact NPC is namely a lack of or minimal conscious awareness. Depending on the business or trajectory in life, college could be useful. The decentralized business 3.0 creators seem to be programming their own brand of NPC. 7:33 What Dan says here is why I think Psychedelics are quite successful in treating depression. When in a psychedelia peak, it feels like there is so much chaos and uncertainty going on. After the peak, the brain starts putting the pieces of reality back together. This is why people report "I feel like a new person", "It rewired my brain.", "It gave me a new perspective on life." And people feel really good after having gone through that experience. Which proves Dan's point of chaos and uncertainty and then settling and making sense of it definitely is the zest of life.

Having been alive for a minute... The 3-5 people that changed my perspective all came to me 80s and very early 90s. Aside from Jane Goodall who influenced my views on sociology at the age of 5 in the early 70s. Some of them have abandoned their earlier messaging and I have abandoned them. It's been quite interesting to watch how influencers choose to stay relevant.

I think one of the fears, hesitations, or roadblocks for creative people is the fear of it being stolen and presented better by someone else.
You mentioned people stealing your stuff and repurposing it. I fear that too, and so I hesitate to put my content out there until it’s 100% compete.
I think I need to change that and just out myself out there. Just share my knowledge and see what happens.

Dan, how do you make money online besides selling people “how to make money online” courses?
Not meant to be a slight, just curious what “problems of yours you are solving and selling the solution”
I like the idea but all I see is you talking about how other people can make money online by solving problems but the only problem I see on this channel is that people want to learn how to make money online.
Only selling the course of “make money online” without another niche/Product you sell seems a bit off to me to determine if this will work if the guy selling me the course only makes money telling me how to make money online.
Can you point me to your other income streams to get a better idea of this?
    Thank you

    • @typingcat
      @typingcat ปีที่แล้ว +2

It's a scam. Everyone of those who make money by selling books/courses/seminars on how to make money is a scammer. One example is the Kiyosaki guy. He popped up in the recommendation, so I searched TH-cam for "Kiyosaki scammer", and of course, his main source of income was selling his stupid rich dad/poor dad story.

    • @alexwr

Damn straight, I want an answer to this question, except I'm not going to be as nice about it.
Dan, what can you offer except yet another 'make money' course?
There is no point in telling everyone to make more 'money' courses because at that point you are a slightly more complicated pyramid scheme at best. Only so many people can sell a course to people teaching them how to make money online by selling online courses before it all implodes.
If you do make money other ways, can you identify those streams, and they better be accessible/attainable for the people you're talking to, otherwise you're capitalising on people's desire for financial stability for your own gain whist selling these people a pipe dream.
So what is it? Are you just a slightly more sophisticated grifter, or are you actually providing an option.

I'm also looking for someone who has already solved other people's problems, such as an already successful entrepreneur who has reached the top and is only giving advice because they genuinely want to help others succeed. I'm fed up with all those youtube gurus who are "making money online" and are everywhere, always trying to get you on their mailing lists or selling you their courses.

You people are just not smart enough to identify problems to be solved. What do you expect? A cognitive handout? A precise list of instructions you can replicate? Think for yourself! Your lazy mentality is the problem!

If someone is telling you to open your mind and think with your own head, and you just do as he tells you, are you even thinking with your own head at that point. What if you just want to keep dooing what you doing despite it being mediocre, i mean how many stupid dog shit npc crap are you going to see on the internet, all these people are the same they run away from mediocrity because they dont want to be like others and they all become like others because thats what they all do. What do you see revolutionary here i wonder? Like we are all subconciously immitating the npcs, well why arent we all subconciously imitating the pcs isnt that the mistery? Probably because we do and we find out that we are all essentially the same not rly different but just more or less capable. Like why do you want to be successfull if you cant even have a good relationship with your brother? Why do people complain so much about their shitt? Oh because they are lazy and progrqmmed and bla bla bla. Cant you be successfull and not cut off your brother? Just another Jordan Peterosn rip off. Chaos, clariy, order, we learn by immitation. Whatever idk what to say its so sad we are just all here in these chat rooms next to one another not with one another. The only way to be seen as a sheep is to be the first ahead.

    NOT3PAD
Perspectives of reality are not supposed to be static. Ideally, you create a flow with reality and shape it at the same time as it shapes your mind. But with consciousness. Not everything you want to make happen is supposed to be exactly that way. The universe is chaotic. 3:55
3:55 Habit formation is good if IT'S CONSCIOUS and CONNECTED TO A GOAL
4:30 Identity tends to direct what you do.
6:20 The most dangerous for society is someone who isn't reliant on it.
6:50 When NPCs or NPC -mentalities are faced against other possibilities and uncertainties of reality, you might experience a crash, emotions and resistance or attack with the NPC narrative.
It is your job to become aware of your own programming and change it.
    8:45 CHANGING YOURSELF IS DIFFICULT
The trick is to copy. But copy, as you have been always doing since you where born? Not exactly. This time, consciously.
"To begin conditioning your mind for success you must...
    1. Set goals for a higher quality of life
    2. Immerse yourself in the information that will condition a NEW perspective
    3. Make progress and NOTICE/RECOGNIZE positive outcome it has on your life (in my case this is essential, sometimes its hard for me to recognize my own progress and that destroys my will)
11:00 Valuing something doesn't come from not doing and just dreami. Go and do. Then for someone that values their art, body building, a business... They will came choices that align with it.
And they will receive from it. In form of satisfaction, money, health, etc
    13:00
    STEP 1
Create a perspective that you can grow into. (?)
Think as the expanding and contacting thing. Open minded, close minded. Highest perspective is god, universe, etc.
You can expand right now to your ideak future self or to the universe.
When you face a new problem, open that perspective and train your mind to do it and hold that perspective for a longer time. Open it up to the perspective that is bigger. Life, death, the universe, the millions o people, etc.
ZOOM OUT. TODAY. When you have a problem, you feek stressed etc.
How would a wiser you or your ideal you act and think now?
    Then
    Zoom out to universak perspective.
    SO
    15:30
    QUESTIONS
    1. What does my ideal day look like
    2. What do I want to do as my life's work?
    3. How do I want to impact people's lives?
    4. What do I want to look and feel like?
    5. What values and habits will I have to adopt to bring those to life?
    STEP X
Choose 3 to 5 mentors (online ones, apparently) - They will shape you in a unique way. Unique mix. They are your choice. Conscious choice to learn.
    STEP X
    BECOME A MAD SCIENTIST
The good life is a series of experiments. You can't copy it from someone else. You have to try, fail and collect the pieces that make your individual life great.
The main character leans into the trial and error that reflects in nature towards evolution and grow.
    More steps
RESEARCH - Info you need to do your thing
    TEST - Testestestest
EXPERIMENT - Dont be dogmatic, be a scientist. Don't take anything as truth
DISCOVER - Discover what works for you or what doesn't
DOCUMENT - Write down what gets YOU results.
    🔥🔪Key Action Items [Sum up]
    - Tool: The Double Zoom (when in trouble, zoom out to what your higher/best version self would do. Then zoom out to the universe perspective or something big like that
    - Tool: 5 Questions for Direction and Clarity
    - Identify your mentor-mix
    - Become A MAD SCIENCIST (mindset+ steps[research, test, exp, discover and document].
You can apply it with this very own video. Don't take anything as dogma. Experiment, that's where wisdom is created. Test it for yourself.

I would like to disagree a bit. Maybe it is my personal experience but I have never met an NPC, everyone is the protagonist in their own life, they are taking their own decisions. Obviously there are external factors, like in my case it would be better for my career to move to a different place but I cannot as I have old parents staying with me. You might think I am an NPC from your point of view but its my calculated decision based on my values provided by my culture.
