Good video. Very helpful. Be careful when unscrewing the clear plastic piece on the vacuum breaker. Make sure your wrench clears the metal. I severely damaged the piece when removing, but it was replaced with the new piece from the repair kit.

Thanks for the tutorial. My two faucets would sometimes be hard to shut off, requiring backing off and retightening until the water flow stopped. The full repair kits cost ~$23 now at Home Depot ($50 to fix two faucets), but I found an online vendor who sells individual parts and bought just the washer at the end of the faucet rod (two washers, shipped, for ~$10 including shipping). I replaced those end washers and the issue is completely fixed. I will probably refurbish with the more expensive kit in the future if it starts acting up again, very simple to do.

Thank you for the video. I would have been massively frustrated had I not watched it. Answered several questions quickly and simply.

Hey, thank you for making this video. I felt better knowing what to expect going in. My neighbor and I each did one on the same day with your help.

I followed the directions as described in the video, everything is working fine now. Thank you...Also, Home Depot and Lowes did not have the repair kit. but Menards had about 20 in stock for 19.99 for the entire kit including all the pieces for the whole assemble .

Excellent video, thanks. Only thing I would say is that a small pair of needle nose pliers came in handy.

Tracy Wallace Agree. Might add a solvent like WD-40 if the faucet is old as parts on mine were "mineraled' together. Might need to solvent and tap, tap. Also, when replacing the pressure relief valve, first push the tiny valve rod up into the plastic washer, then screw-in the plastic washer with valve inside. Watch carefully to assure the rod remains in its hole in the washer. If it falls out, one can screw down the washer and bend the rod. I did this, and had to replace the rod/valve part.

vacuum breaker body piece. In my faucet, this part was glued in and I was nor able to get it out. I have chipped at it enough that I can get the old float out and could get a new float in. Any way I can fix it from here and avoid having to buy a complete faucet? I've watched your video several times. I very much appreciate you help.

I have a really old hose bib and the packing nut is sealed/corroded to the point I can't remove it. Does anyone have a trick to remove this so I can fix my leaky spigot?

I installed the kit, replacing all the parts as shown in the video, but I still have a leak. Any advice?

We have an anti-siphon faucet. The faucet isn't leaking per se, but sometimes when we turn off the hose, the knob "catches" and doesn't fully turn off. Usually if we play with it a couple of times, it will turn off fully. You can feel the catch when rotating the knob to turn off. I've removed the handle and all appears fine--i.e. not limed up or not damaged or malformed. What is the issue ?
