Identity and Nationalism in Eighty Six (86) - Analytical Video Essay

Eighty-Six (86) is a Light Novel series written by Asato Asato which explores the nature of identity in a dystopian setting. In this video, I attempt to dissect how the themes of identity and nationalism are portrayed in the series, through the perspectives of various characters like Shinei Nouzen and Vladilena Milize, as well as the nature of ultranationalism.
SPOILER WARNING: There will be some vague spoilers from the anime and some loose references to events that happen in the Light Novels which the anime has not (but will eventually, hopefully) caught up to. Otherwise, there are no major plot points or anything significant which will spoil the series for anime-onlies.
