its actually a combination of size of the rods, the quality of the perm solution, and how long you leave the solution during processing. Just experiment!
Wavy perm depends on the size of the curling rod. The size is probably somewhere between medium and large (for waves--not curls). Cold wave usually refers to an alkaline perm, and this perm solution in the video is not a cold wave. It is an acid wave.
Poor woman is kind enough to answer the same question over over again about the minimum hair length required for this perm & how long it lasts.

no it doesn't but i like to roll it back so if he wants to comb it back it will hold it.
This is exactly what i wanted but the salon i went to just straight up curled my hair. I even showed them a pic of how i wanted it ://
if too curly, then when you blow dry your hair, run fingers thru same time will help uncurl a little faster to look wavy. hope that helps.

i haven't use that but it should work. i only use biolage and matrix and both works.
