I met Rick in 1989 at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. I was there on my works Xmas meal. He was sat having a cup of tea with his wife. Went up said hello. He gave me a signed pic and was a really nice bloke to talk to. Quo were playing the playing the G-Mex across the road that night. Nice memory to have. God bless his soul.x
I can feel his nervousness, it must have been so hard to get up in a strange venue and talk but he did incredibly well... I can also feel the love from the fans who enjoy and hang onto his every word. RIP Ricky you created so much wonderful music ♥ x
Rick always came over as a Nice guy,as he said he never took stardom for granted & that always came over in his interviews.....Quo was.never the same once you left this planet, the band lost its engine & Was never really the same....RIP Rick
Yeah , I know but I think Francis keeps the show going in memory of Rick .... agreed there will always be "someone" missing . Stones minus Charlie Watts kinda thing .
What a great meet n greet, Rick was an awesome rhythm player, learning Rick's part of a Quo song is a workout, just watch him play, there was a tremendous amount of energy that went into his live gigs, also the bands enegy, presence and songs was the reason Quo was asked to be the first band to take the stage at 'Live Aid'
I have been a huge Status Quo girl since I was 5yo thanks to my eldest brother. I was very lucky to see them live performing in St Kilda at the Palace 🇦🇺 Australia. I was lost for words when he died. I still love there music today and listen to there cds on my way to work May he RIP 😢
I met Rick and Francis when they signed Rock to You Drop autobiography in the 90s Birmingham or Wolverhampton Smiths exactly like you thought they would be very funny .♥️
First song I ever fell in love with was Caroline. I bought my first cheap guitar off that and now I have them all. Only because of these guys though. God bless the band for trying to be honest to their roots. God bless Rick, lovely man.
yes - silver label ? can't remember the name though ... Capitol ? my memory is fading , but was the flip side "Joanne" ? Oh Joanne , I love you still .....
Wow the guy that got up ...bet he still dont sleep.... never ever do that ....there's a reason why they sound the way they do...Rick got a solid right hand..like a machine....bit like malcom young....they have hardly any distortion at all .just old school gain....and it's all arm power..and tight chops.....the guy digs in ...and he's got it down ...man I felt sorry for the guy who got up....he couldn't even get it to work.... the look he gave was like...the strings sound dead...there as thick as my legs....and there is no distortion.... Rick gets hold of it ..and bang ...that some skill... I'll take unique over flash ....any day of the week
After watching interview and interview of this rock gentleman and also Francis...I can't believe what a down to earth guy nice guy rick and Co really was cud never get my head round how down to earth they really were on stage..although there famous
I'm acdc mad..... and the only other fans I've ever felt are behind there band all the way are quo fans....they live and breath quo...I've met many ...good band...they stuck to there craft.through thick n thin...and I respect that

What a gracious man - no pomp or splendour. Having a goal to make other people happy with your art, is an honourable thing.
Really enjoyed this, such a sweet and humble guy, sorely missed 🙏

Good old Rick. Best rhythm guitarist ever and best bloke ever.
He had a great life. One of the nicest guys in rock. Saw him with Quo in 1979.

Without Rick Quo is like a six cylinder engine only running on four. The power just isn't there.

Spot on advice. We played Quo in our first band. Got the basics, but the real stuff has real subtle moves.
Great bloke too, the best,,,,😊
The great man himself!
No Quo without the engine...

Cameramen e video incomprten😢
When was it?
Stupid whooping...just listen to the guy
Was it in 2007?
Rick was always my favourite in the band and since his passing sad to say but I don't have much interest in Quo now 😔
Without Rick Quo is like a six cylinder engine only running on four. The power just isn't there.
Knotts berry farm.
The guy who played at 20 minutes was absolutely 💩🤣
9:31 was the eargasm
Woking's finest (not including Paul Weller, Peter Gabriel and . . . . Delia Smith!!)
Think Weller still owed them a Voxac30 from early Jam days.
Rude bunch in the crowd
why?
Such a shame he was such an avid drug addict. That’s what took him. RIP
"Best in the world " hardly
At playing rhythm guitar for Status Quo he was.
@alanserjeant4947 best in the world for playing with status quo, ok 🤷♂️
