Larry is easily my favorite guest on any Commander TH-cam production. This is by and far one of my favorite channels. You guys are the best and this stuff proves it! What an epic game.
I think I just love the obscurity I see from Larry's decks as well. I'm a newer player (2-3 yrs), but still, many of Larry's commanders are either new to me or they are commanders that I've always thought are rare but would be really fun to build.

awesome to see a Sasaya deck on here. Was the second deck I've ever built. I've turned it into a combo deck with Wakeroot Elemental and it pretty much wins once I flip it. FUN FACT about Sasaya you can reveal your hand again in response to someone targeting her with creature removal and she will flip before the removal resolves turning her into an enchantment thus causing the removal to fizzle

I was in hype for this particular episode because I want to see Osgir, my first edh deck, in action on this channel. Ayli's list is very similar to mine, and we have also the same sleeves🔥
When Ayli mentioned the Vorinclex/Cumulative upkeep interaction it made me want to share one of the coolest cards in Magic, Solemnity. It is an enchantment that prevents counters from being given to players, lands, creatures, or enchantments. This means that it combos incredibly well with some powerful turtle cards such as glacial chasm, delaying shield, and phyrexian unlife. It even creates a two card lock with decree of silence, making it almost impossible for your opponents to play the game.
I love Kamahl Fist of Krosa, being able to turn my opponents lands into creatures has come into use many times. My favorite play is when Kamahl, in mono green, proceeds to kill opponents lands with a Walking Ballista or Triskelion. I kind of wonder if Constant Mists would be great in Larry's deck instead of Fog Ayli: I AM THE ONE WHO FLIES Larry: Fog... :P LOL

My assumption is that since it’s still face up, it retains all characteristics of the top half, and simply changes the name/rules text/type-line in flipping.

I've watched this video 4 times already just to study Larry's playstyle 😂 When he builds I know for a fact he holds back a ton and even with that he is still doing big brain power plays. It's so easy to go infinite with this commander but he's inspired me to not include those pieces in mine (Wakeroot Elemental being an easy one).
Lynch mentioned it during the game but I'm bummed Sasaya went off because she's been one of my 'super-secret-nobody-has-heard-of-her' decks and I have a feeling that is about to change.
Why are the cards with Mystic Forge being Exiled face down? Am I missing another effect that makes them go into exile facedown? Because all exiled cards are exiled face up unless another effect says to do otherwise.

Kind of. A flipped card has the characteristics of its flipped half, but the mana cost specifically is the same as before.
