Hey! Yes for the 2 of us. Croatia is a big country and if you want to see it properly you’ll need to spend more time. We chose to explore Croatia completely and only spent a couple of days in Slovenia knowing we will come back to this country. If you split your stay between these 2 countries you might have to skip some good places! Why not club Croatia with smaller countries like Montenegro?

1 day in Plitvice. 2 days at Split (do 5 island trip on one day & Split Trogir another day). And 2 days in Dubrovnik

Croatia is part of Schengen region so you can visit Croatia. Montenegro you can visit with a multiple-entry Schengen region.
Is International Driving Permit needed for driving in Slovenia?
IDP is a good to have document when driving in Europe and you can be asked to produce it if caught by a traffic police. So best to have it handy
