Saw Blood brothers last night with my daughter and granddaughter for the 6th time!! We never tire and cry at the end Thank you Lyn Paul and all fellow actors Fantastic !! We'll miss you Eve Kaz and Han !!
I’m going to see this on Thursday I have to be honest when I saw it last it was one of the Nolan sisters I hadn’t heard of lyn Paul and when I saw she was 70 I didn’t know what to expect, well I take it back she’s fantastic! Really excited now :)
having performed with Joe McEldery and then just coming home from seeing Lyn Pual in Blood Brothers (for the 4th time...) its just magically to watch this
Thank you for sharing this, even though I'm watching it for the first time five years after you uploaded it. I used to be a massive fan of the New Seekers. I saw Lyn in the role of Mrs Johnstone at the Theatre Royal Nottingham a few years ago, my daughter had got tickets for us and I didn't know anything about Blood Brothers, other than Petula Clark had been in the Broadway show and Bernie Nolan in the West End! My goodness after that night I knew exactly what Blood Brothers was all about and I couldn't imagine anyone - not even the great Pet Clark - doing the role anywhere near as good as Lyn Paul. The emotion that poured out of her - she had me sobbing by the end of the show and she's just done the same again to me with this video! The show is touring again, but I know Lyn has hung up Mrs J's coat and pinny for good, however I really want to see this show again and I'll try not to compare but it will be very hard not to! I always thought Lyn had the better voice between herself and Eve Graham during their New Seekers days and Lyn and Peter Doyle, God bless him, were phenomenal together! Thanks again for showing this brilliant lady who is the undisputed Mrs J of all time!
thrilled that after many years we finally have a live video of Lyn singing this song, maybe one day we'll get a recording of the blood brothers show onto dvd/cd.....thank you richard
I saw Lyn Paul in London in the mid-90's and it was the first time I had ever seen this amazing play. This song left me in floods of tears as Lyn's voice was so majestic. Since then I've been back to see it a dozen times. Such as shame it's no longer a London regular as I would go every year to see it. I do, however, have my ticket for Southampton in September and Lyn is back in the cast. Can't wait - she is brilliant!
Fabulous performance by Lyn Paul and Joe McElderry, and all the company! Now we want a CD please and one of the Definitive MRS JOHNSTONE (NOT JOHNSON) in Blood Brothers.
I saw this live and it was amazing!!! Shame you didn't manage to record the beginning with Keith and Ben doing the scene from the show where Mickey and Eddie meet.
Richard Orr yeah I thought it might have been something like that. But seriously, it was amazing thank you for uploading it so everyone can see it and re-live it. :)
Best Mrs Johnson ever in my books just a fabulous voice and what a beautiful woman
Thank you Lyn Paul for making Blood Brothers even better❤️
