Reminder that a box of three inner circle companions come with 6 swords and 6 censor thingies for the backpack making it VERY easy to kitbash an extra 6 man squad out of the one you get from the battleforce. You just have to grab extra SM bodies (if you wanna be fancy with them I suggest a squad of primaris crusaders, you get 6 marine bodies with the robes and a squad of "scouts" as a bonus). Also small correction : Lion El Johnson is 285 points now, not 300 !
ya the ICC box is nice, with lots of extra bits. using sternguard veteran bodies works well also. yep the lion just got a points cut down to 285, which makes him extra juicy, and viable. cheers
Thank you for putting this together!
of course my friend, thanks for watching, and taking the time to comment!
Interesting point about the 1CTF detachment working well with a Deathwing Knights focused list. I dunno if I can pilot it well but if I get this boxset, I'll definitely try it out with 3 squads of Knights.
ya, i think there is a lot more play with 1CTF than people are giving it. the extra damage reduction, and up down, as well as the rerolling wounds is pretty great. i've been experimenting with my ultramarines in 1CTF using guilliman, for double oath, with reroll wounds, as well, and its pretty great. feels like i'm playing my deathwatch blackspear again, but with a primarch! haha
Scary list variety in the second thousand points
there are lots of ways to skin a cat. the fact that there are a lot of options is better, means the codex has good internal balance. i hate seeing cookie cutter lists, over and over again
Sounds so similar to warhammer man. Lol it’s crazy
lol, this is our hobby and gaming channel. there is literally a link in every War Hammer Man video, to this channel! glad you found it, even if you took the long road haha!
@ glad to be hear thanks for the content friend
is it possible to add 2 more deathwing knights squad and 2 more ICC squads?
so deathwing knights are limited to 3x squads with a max of 5 models each. so your army can only ever have 15x deathwing knights. this box has 10, so you will only ever be able to add 1x more squad. ICC come in squads of 3, and you can have up to 6x per squad. so the max you can have is 18x ICC in an army. so you could add up to 5x more Deathwing knights to this box, and up to 12x ICC to this box. so 1x more deathwing knights squad yes, and 2x more icc squads yes, but not 2x of each.
I have zero faith in GW fixing Codex Space Marines. So, I was thinking of getting this box and running my army as Dark Angels. The Knights and companions would be enough to take my list from total failure, to about the level of my old list before GW killed it.
ya dark angels are really good. i still do pretty well with space marines, but they are def not top of the meta. they are making some fundamental changes to marines at the end of the year. but either way, you def want to enjoy yourself, and this is a great box!
